I like it a lot. The only drawback is not having covered storage in the bed, hence my next project.

I think there are some lockable storage container options with that rack? You aren’t using them because of the position / size / layout?

I’m excited to see where you take this. Looks very nice and well thought out.

Thanks! They do have the locking storage for the rack. I plan on getting a combo of those that is yet to be determined. One the big reasons I was adamant about getting the OEM rail back on was the possible ability to add a cover in addition to the bins. I have a few ideas.

Really like the bed storage units! Where did you find those? You said they are OEM but I haven't been able to locate them through Toyota parts.

They came stock in the Trail Edition of the Tundra Crew Max, no-one has found them available via Toyota parts at this time afaik. You can pick them up used sometimes.

IIRC, @Roman has part numbers, but they aren't available for sale yet. I think they are ~$800 each.

What pins are you tapped in to? Mine is in the red and the black is in a white. Hard to see in the picture but it's the one on the end.

I am tapped into the pins listed below, there is a large thread on the subject. @RainMan_PNW has the wiring diagrams that showed where to tap into, if you have it so your radar shuts off with the truck I'd love to know what pin positions you tapped into.

Nice. At this rate, you won't need an oil change until you're ready to trade it in.

And that reminds me -- I need to clean my instrument cluster...

The brass pins that you see is my mirrortap for the radar detector. It turns on and off with the truck. Red to red and the black goes into the white...4th hole.

    Chad,
That looks awesome, especially with the white accents. I know you were thinking of possibly removing your flares, but that bumper lines up perfectly with it.

Did you get their cool new Ultra-latch? Mine's still sitting in the box waiting for me to put it on.

I did black SEM trim paint when I did mine. 4 or 5 coats, no clear coat. Same with center console around radio

I am still driving the 2008 Tundra - just finished two trips to Wyoming with it - just shy of 160,000 miles. I bought the 2020 Tundra preemptively with a great Covid deal and am waiting until I get the mods done before it goes into full service or I sell the 2008. @AzureNightmare - Platinum was converted to the Pro dual exhaust. Once I get the Falcons (on the group buy) installed on the 2020 then the 2008 will inherit the takeoffs.

I test drove a truck with the duals, and it was super nice to have that bit of extra growl. I didn't plan on an exhaust when I got my truck, but after driving that one I knew it'd happen eventually. DD had a group buy, and I jumped on it. Super glad I did, and hoping for the same positive experience with the Falcon GB. Stoked!

I got my rear Husky liner X-Act Contour floormat for my DC today, I installed it already. I really like the nice extended coverage area. At first, I thought it wasn't going to fit and then I realized I could remove the storage bins from under the rear seats, install the liner then re-install the bins. It fits perfect. I'm very pleased with the fit and coverage. The matching fronts arrive tomorrow and will be installed promptly.

Lol same!! I’m sure everyone has other cars to drive... same with me, but 11 months of ownership with 1k miles is like owning a high end car that may end up being a collectible.

    Thanks Matt!

Yeah, the flares lining up with the bumper and the sliders lining up with everything leaves my ocd very satisfied.

Taking a brake from doing brakes, bmc and changing the screws to black on my flares.

Installed a 1.75” leveling kit today as a temporary solution until I get ready for wheels, tires, and suspension. Also cleaned the sway bars!
