I like it! I’m still tossing the idea around of doing my 2nd gen in white line-x front and rear...that’s the only chrome left

Been thinking about adding these over the brake calipers, but just don’t know. Will it look cheap? Want something to go with the blue tow hooks. E4EFC916-57BF-4BE0-A048-CFF7DD5A00A4.jpgF64FB922-B460-4DAB-BAE5-941F4D97D4E8.jpg

Very subtle, but a nice contrast along with the red tow hooks. I asked the wife what was different about the truck, she just shrugged her shoulders. :annoyed: ;)

Haven't seen anyone use those caliper covers (at least to my knowledge) but a few folks have painted theirs and it works. If you look up at the post by @BlueRibbon4x4 you can see his blue calipers, it's a nice touch. You can also get blue lug covers. Its surprising how much they add to the wheel.

Haha newbie here. I deleted my last reply. I see a lot of questions about chrome or black and while I respect both and see some beautiful trucks on this post I went with a white out and chrome look. B84A6901-FB6C-4072-907C-D5FC3518C5A5.jpgE5821730-201E-4D63-83EB-7A529E7183CF.jpg

Awesome! Raptor liner comes in a kit that you can color match to your truck also. I did my sliders in blue. That white would look killer. 699948A7-B805-4439-8462-303ACCAD60A7.jpg

I appreciate that. I used the Krylon Fusion paint and painted the plastic bases then ordered chrome mirror and handle covers scuffed and painted them because white was so hard to find!

Not yet. I live in Oregon and so far so good. Those are 20x12 with a -44 offset so they’re out there a bit... I keep my fingers crossed I don’t get any of the wrong attention!

I've done several mods to my 2014 since I bought it.
Recently replaced the stock halogen TRD Pro headlights for LED TRD Pro headlights.
Asked the wife, 'notice anything different', she says 'nope"...

    y40tprnq_0ec56958cd88678a6dc2c2d55d3c525800c9432b.jpg 60jiy207_cb42db2dbf9863dba8e47132e1ac5406ef8e1f5a.jpg

Only thing she ever noticed without me saying anything?
After of weekend of sound deadening, she didn't even notice or care what I was doing in the garage, she did mention the truck was more quiet than before next time she was in it....

I paid cash for the truck, so I really don't think she expects me to do anything to it right away. :spy: She's a great wife, so all my mods are only in my head at the moment. BTW been following your build thread, and it looks awesome.

Sorry to thread crap the OP...

    Too much..
The floor and rear wall are fine.
    Dynamat with Dynaliner.

But I overdid the doors, they slam with the lightest closure because they are too heavy...
Should have just done the outer door skins with Dynamat, and then a layer of Dynaliner to the door interior under the panel...
Instead of this, learn from my mistakes......

    More thread crap, sorry OP.

Thing is with my wife and my truck, my Tundra is 'my little hobby' to her.
She doesn't give 2 sh!ts about it, what I spend on it, or what I do to it, any more that I give about her shoes, purses, and shopping.
Like you stated, she is a great wife, but she just has no interests, in my interests, and that's fine.......:D

$20K in mods over the last 6 years and she only likes the deadening, the aftermarket seat heaters, and the AMP steps.
The seat heaters and AMP steps I only installed for her (without her input or knowledge), although I use the seat heaters a lot more than I thought I would.

She feels the same way about my other 'hobby', firearms.
I try to show her a recent purchase or interest, and she just doesn't care...
She rolls her eyes and says 'that's nice'.
She has her G42 and 3 mags in the safe, and that's all she cares about..

I’m curious where you got your grill and bumper caps? I want to delete the chrome on my truck as quickly as possible.

I did a complete gut on the rear section of my crewmax. (no console or front seat removal) and didn't notice much of a difference from sound deadening rear wall and back floor.
Even pulled the rear window cover to line inside that as well.
I think the firewall/ Cowl top / trans tunnel may be next to see if that helps. Otherwise, i'll give up.
After sound deadened my Tacoma years ago, i went very light coverage on the Tundra doors.
The Tundra doors are so wide and heavy already, you can watch the B-pillar flex if the door swings all the way open fast. Adding weight will just make it worse.
