What minor exterior mods make the biggest impact aesthetically?

As the title suggests, what minor exterior mods have you guys done that make the biggest impact aesthetically? Obviously wheels/tires and a lift/level make a huge impact on the look of these trucks but what about smaller mods?

I recently purchased a 2021 White CM TRD O/R and I was surprised at how big of an impact that adding TRD center caps on the stock wheels and black emblem overlays made on the overall appearance of the truck. I have N-Fab steps scheduled for delivery tomorrow which I think will make the truck look even better.

Window tint is next on the list and then hopefully a level and new tires. But what other small stuff would you guys recommend? Pics would be great!

What look at you going for? Lifted/lowered. Street/off-road. Racing/grocery getter.

 

Color matched mirror surrounds and door handles from Sparks Toyota.

 

Just a daily driver, leveled with 33's. Like to keep it simple and clean. Will most likely go with 5100's at mid setting with 275/70r18 KO2's on the stock O/R wheels.

 

I think you’ve got it covered for a sharp looking truck. 1 or 1.25” spacers will beef up the look too. I’ve got a set in the cart but haven’t pulled the trigger.

 

For my White Tundra I think the window tint, blackout badging and black mirror caps were a great touch.

Super cheap- paint your tow hooks

Very nice. I was actually looking for something similar to that. Love the heritage red/orange/yellow colors.

 

Unsure where you stand on chrome and the look of the OR wheels, but you can use plastidip to make the wheels black, there are also ColorLugs which are a vinyl lug cover that you can get in black or to give your wheels a pop of color. Colorlugs are like $20 for a set that covers your lugs for all 4 wheels. Painting the tow hooks is a nice touch and I've loved the addition they provided.

 

Paint match your own mirrors caps ($15), add some ceramic tint by others ($150), restore your OEM wheels with Rustoleum Aluminum Wheel Paint ($20), Bedliner by Rustoleum your faded black trim($20), new grill front (Made in USA $180), and keep her waxed/clay’d/washed on a regular basis.

 

LED reverse and cargo bulbs.

Remove front mud flaps and air spats.

I just bought a white sport. First week I blacked out the badges. Added tailgate letters. And removed the TRD 4x4 bed sticker. Truck looks 100% better IMO. This weekend I’m going to paint tow hooks red and possibly plastidip my wheels black as a temporary fix until I get a lift and new wheels

 

I actually really like the OR wheels with the TRD center caps so I’ll probably leave them as is. But I do like the idea of painting the tow hooks.

 

One cheap mod I haven’t seen mentioned is pulling off your black window trim. Not my style but it does make a huge difference in the appearance of a tundra

Is it literally just a vinyl wrap on it from the factory with color match underneath?

Are these the factory Toyota ones? Or did you get them somewhere else. Definitely want to get these for the tailgate.

 

Debadge and color match your handles and mirrors. Made a huge difference.

Lots of folks do the full color match front end to get rid of the chrome. Hood bulge, grill surround and bumper caps.

 

Tow hooks are kinda visible, shows the touches of blue in the wheels, have a decal in the grille for more blue. Can't wait until that chrome is gone lol one day at a time

Wreck your bedside off-roading and get a custom high clearance LOL. Will definitely change the look and less than new tires or a lift.
