I see people talking about other brands left and right when it comes to exhaust but never hear anyone throwing borla or magnaflow in the mix. Is there a reason for it? I had borlas in my Tiburon, borlas in my mustang, magnaflows in the Camaro, and magnas in my old tempo topaz and loved them all. I have never owned a truck so never looked into truck exhaust but now im curious as to why no one even bothers with these brands.

I don't really have an answer for that. I spotted a nice stainless steel borla on CL a while back and was wondering the same.

I have a Corsa sport on mine just got it and its posted for sale in the classified side. Great exhaust but not loud enough for me. So I'm going back to the drawing board.

BAmuffler is a GREAT option for these trucks. Keith tunes them for performance and sound. Its one of the only mufflers that bolts on in less than 10 minutes and you actually gain a little bit of low end and power through the RPMs. Highly recommended...plus they sound amazing and can be tuned to your liking:D http://www.bamufflers.com/ He should have his number posted on there or you can find him on tundratalk, his name in dirtydeeds on there.

They tend to be a bit pricier then some other options but its worth it. I'm sure you know already he has budget options that are pretty much straight pipes that bolt right up and give the same performance gains...just much louder

flow master outlaw exhaust, TRD cold air intake, linex bed, nfab bars, husky floor liners, esp rear seat storage unit,
I saw a video on YouTube with a guy that had flowmaster outlaw exhaust on his 14 tundra sounds amazing. I will definitely be buying that one or the TRD exhaust.

As long as you stay with the bigger ones borla, cosra names like those doing a cat back system rare will you ever get a CEL to come on do to the system. some make straight pipe effect you like with no CEL problems.

The BAmuffler straight pipe budget system does not throw any codes :D

I'm actually looking at your ad now. It's between Corsa and Borla. Doing my research. I've had Corsa on the wife's Mustang before and have Borla currently on my Tacoma. Also have Zoomers on a SRT8 and by far the Zoomers offer the loudest of them all. The Borla will open up louder with a set of Doug Thorley L/T's. Mine was a little quiet and when I added the L/T's it really opened up the sound. Still no drone, but you can tell it's there.

@Dave333 my only mistake I made was not finding someone with a Corsa sport on their truck and hear it in person. All the you tube video are misleading to me, it doesn't sound anything like the videos I watched over and over.

That the bad thing about youtube videos. Camera mics are so crappie today you really can't get a idea of what exhaust sounds like unless in person. I was able to catch one guy in my town ( he was passing though) had borla on it.

When I was shopping for a cat-back, I narrowed it down to TRD, Borla, and Corsa (I didn't know about BAMuffler back then). I really liked the sound of Borla. But from what I gather, Borla has drone whereas TRD and Corsa does not. I liked the sound of TRD better than Corsa so I went with it.

I love my TRD, but for my next truck, I would be interested in trying BAMuffler based on energetic endorsement from so many enthusiasts. Borla would be an excellent option if you are young and little drone doesn't bother you. I think Borla sounds bada$$.

I have the TRD Exhaust on my Tundra and the Corsa on my wife Sequioa and the TRD sounds much nicer...actually no comparison. The TRD has a much lower rumble and minimal drone in the cab however its pricey. The Corsa is really really quiet with no cab drone but its too quiet for me... you dont get a good sound for the 5.7 motor. Just my opinion...
