Wanting to put Katzkin leather back in the new truck and not sure what to go with. Truck will be the Barcelona Red and I want red and black seats, but not sure which red will match it best. Anyone have that color truck and seats?

But looking for any cool design someone might have for inspiration. Thanks..!

That looks really good. With the smaller amount of red I think it would be a better chance at a good match. the red stitching is great. Are you going to go with the cooling unit? That seems like a great option

https://www.tundras.com/members/jhuey8947.34620/ is a seller here and very responsive to cost and ideas.

I'm thinking about going with these in my Barcelona Red, just to break things up a little. I used to take care of a guys car collection and I always liked this color in the red sports cars he had. I think it just sticks with me now. The black inserts should help tie it in to the truck as well.

I went with the Tundra "factory" option.

Scooped all black Katzkins from ebay for $600..was going to install myself but I have a 6 month old and it just wasnt happening. Found a great guy, Victor, came to my house in Houston and charged me $250 and was done in 3 hours. Has all the tools, brings a little table...he was slick. He has a little IG too he showed me. He doesnt speak much english but I can speak a little spanish and he explained he does it for dealerships with Road Wire for a company during the week and on weekends him and his other partner do their own which they prefer Katzkin and Alea he said, he said they were the same but he liked the Katskin more, I took his word after I saw his IG and how many he has done...Not sure why he put Fort Bend, im on Westheimer inside the beltway...

That's a fantastic price for installation, I would have paid that for mine in a heartbeat. I ended doing my Katskinz install myself since everyone around me wanted $800-1k to do the install.

I did the black with TRD logos and red stitching. Took me most of a weekend to get through it with a buddy there to help on day one. Hands were sore for days from the hog ring pliers.

I assumed the same and had planned on doing it, still have hog ring pliers and rings brand new in the garage. Was thinking I'd give myself 6-8 hours and just never saw that window coming with our kiddo. $250 was an easy yes and him saying he'd come to me at 9am and be done by noon, install day couldn't come sooner.

First week after getting the new truck went to change the baby in the backseat and he peed everywhere. I bought Katzkins the next day...any liquids much less pee and those brown cloths would leave a stain. Couldn't get them out quicker.

The Katzkins have a little padding as well under the leather and it really added to the seats comfort I feel like.

Just go to the website, and build your own leather seat setup. The red and black combo that you’re looking at is $744.00. Install it yourself.

I bought mine from this website, and installed them myself. I wasn’t sure if I could do it or not, but after I called a few upholstery companies and hearing $1000-$1300 I knew I would be doing it myself. Started with the headrest, then smallest back seat. I got the hang of it, and the front seats were even easier to do.

Seats are on order, now to await their arrival. I plan to follow the suggestion above with the seats and start with the small back seat, then larger one, and attack the front seats once I have some practice.

If you decide to do it yourself, do the back first, driver's last. By that time you will have finesse tucking and pulling, keeping wrinkles down. It's hard on the hands and easier to do it over a couple of days. Posting progress pics here gets good feedback as I've seen rush jobs that look like wrinkled loose covers to installs that look factory, and everything in between. Heating the leather up in a dryer beforehand helps with stretching, it's constantly like struggling to put small gloves over big hands a la OJ. Some installers have multiple people doing it, the solo guys know how to conserve energy and probably have powerful grip strength. For those with not new trucks, it's also a good time to clean that naked foam with a carpet cleaner which an installer isn't doing.

If you find a decent price, factor how much your time is worth, everyone is different. I would put the expertise and difficulty as moderate for a factory tight job.

I will take your advice, won't need the dryer trick, since I will be doing this in Texas and just having the covers laying out in the driveway should get them hot pretty quickly. :) My plan is working in the order you suggested over the course of a few days. Thanks for the hints and tips, looking forward to doing this and going for as factory-look of an install as possible.
