Just upgraded from my basic model 2010 Tundra to a 2021 Tundra Limited. Ordered back in January and just got it two days ago. Very nice . Went with the Smoked Mesquite , Black leather interior Limited/TRD package. Only options were spray in liner and brushed steel steps.
A big change I notice is that there are no grab handles on drivers side? Have a couple bad joints so I'm wondering if any you guys in the same boat miss that handle to pull yourself into the truck? Is there something after market I can get?
I also note they have taken out alot of storage places since my last truck. Just one glove box on the passenger side? The door elbow rest used to have little compartments for sunglasses and change. Backseat doors used to have a cupholders and some storage in the side- I used those a lot. Took out the storage behind the driver seat so my navigator can't just grab the Gazateer when she needs it.
I've never had leather seats before and I'm wondering how is that going to hold up during hunting season and getting in and out with work clothes on? Wear and tear concerns me.
Also I got the tow/haul package but didn't realize tow mirrors were an option. Why wouldn't these be considered as part of the package? I had the fitted slide on extensions for my old truck but they're kinda clunky looking. Any suggestions for upgrading those? All my trailers and boats are tough to see around.
Overall its quite an upgrade from my old Tundra but seems like they did away with some nice features and missed the boat on adding some useful ones.

I had the dealer leather install in my SR5 when I bought it.
Pretty sure it was the equivalent of Limited leather.
Platinums and 1794 s have a better leather in them.
I replaced the front seat with Katzkin Leather late last year.
The front seats where looking a little shotty.
I hardly use the rear seat so I didn't replace it.
Keep your leather clean and condition it every once in awhile..

I have the tow package and glad to not have the big ugly tow mirrors.
Search the forum and you'll find info on members replacing the smaller mirrors with OEM and aftermarket tow mirrors.

Thank you for such a detailed response. Especially the links to where I could buy them or get more info at least. Looking at the reviews on the tow mirrors seems like I might stick with what I have. Link to the grab handle topic in the forum is very informative. Never thought of Sequoia having the same setup! I was hoping to find something that would take less reconstructing of the plastic pillar - I'm not too talented about getting that stuff apart without breaking it or getting it back together so it looks factory made. For the life of me I can't figure out why they would take out BOTH grab handles. I did get the step sides on this truck which makes soome difference but the handles would be soooo much easier.
    Thanks again for your responses.

You'll be surprised at just how easy it is to replace the A-pillar piece with the grab handle piece. 15 minutes if you take your time, 30 if you are terrified of touching your truck.

A pillar is super easy to replace, can get the kit or piece it together on your own.

Get it before you get used to using the steering wheel to grab on to I just did the grab handle after a year and I still sometimes forget I added it

Since it looks like his site is down I'm going to see if one of the local guys can get the parts for me. Does anyone know what the part numbers are for the gray grab handle? Will this fit on the 2021 Double Cab model? Is it two parts or just the one? In one of the videos it looks like the grab bar is already attached to the plastic pillar and on another it looks like they are seraprate and you put them together?

I feel you, I had a 2013 and the grab handle was great. Just went to a 2018 and thought that was crappy taking away the handle. I just ordered the parts from a local dealer since they are 10% off and free shipping now. Saved me $25 plus shipping than ordering from Sparks. I'd check that out.
As for the leather, I'd get Carhartt seat covers or similar during hunting season. My 2013 had katzskin leather seats which were nice, but my driver's seat started wearing out. I've seen videos that leather is forgiving and can be cleaned, sanded, and recolor. I had bought a kit to do that, but now I have a newer Tundra and next week getting custom katzskin leather seats installed.

Thanks for your responses guys. I'm going to look into a local dealer and see if they can find the grab handle for me; anyone know the part numbers?
Unrelated question I have also - So when I use the keyfob to lock the truck it flashes the lights but them it makes a beep sound. This is not going to work during hunting season and I find it just plain annoying. Is there a way to deprogram the beep? Can I do it through the entertainment information system? Or do I have to bring it to the dealer an hour away? Or do I track down where the offensive nosiemaker is and pull the wires?

I just put these mirrors on my 2020 TRD Sport the other day. They are FANTASTIC, HUGE improvement. I tow a travel trailer and these are great mirrors. None to very minimal vibration only when going over heavy hard bumps. I highly recommend them. Boost Auto Parts, look them up.

I'm sure there is a way to silence the lock beeps, but I don't know how to do it on the 2010's. I have never owned a vehicle where you could not disable the beeps. Have you tried to google it?

Ok guys I found it. So I have a 2021 in case I didn't make that clear. In the radio/audio system there are some settings you can customize for the truck. One is the lock feature. You can change the volume of the beep or turn it off and there are some adjustments for the blinking lights as well.
Was able to shut off the beep through the settings menu.

Yes I can tell you exact but can't get to the truck till tomorrow.
I know you hit the menu button and go to settings. I think there was a setting for locks. Its where you can tell the fob to unlock one door or all. Then there was a setting for the blinking lights then the volume on the beeps all the way down to zero.
    Can be more exact tommorrow.

Congratulations on your new truck. And yes the grab handle is very easy. A lot of people on this forum are extremely knowledgeable. Don’t be afraid to ask anything, someone will have the answer! There are a lot of videos on installs too.

Welcome from CT. The handle was my first mod, very easy install. Also purchased the boost auto towing mirrors the other week and they are awesome. Easy install and everything is explained on their website with full instructions.

So the truck has to be running, not in accessory mode. Hit Menu. Hit Setup. You will see a tab that says Vehicle , hit it. There will be a list of things you can customize. Door locks is one of them. Theres quite a list of things you can customize from which doors unlock when you open drivers door to lights AND sound it makes when it locks.
    That should get you there.
Now does anyone have the part numbers for the grab handle and pillar cover so I can check w a local dealer?

Never mind on tthe part number. Didn't realize Roman had it on the FB page. Called my local dealer and he didn't even know about it but could easy get the parts by tomorrow. Good deal. Little pricey but Im finding it very difficult to get in the truck with out it.

Thats good one. Forgot I had that shut off on my old one. Now whenever I get to our dirt road I'm used to taking my belt off immediately in case I get a shot at something. I think I disconnected the buzzer under the dash. If anyone knows get back to us please.

You have you buy a cable and software (or borrow it from some one). It is fairly easy to do compared to other cars. It is called TechStream

Someone on here has a 3d printer and sells tabs that can be inserted into the seat belt - works really well. Can't remember who it is off hand.

Big thanks for that. I was gonna open the Toyota bible and figure out how to “Open all doors when door handle grabbed”. It was EZ with those directions.
