Installed the rear sway bar last weekend. Got it from my local dealer for $215. Was easy to install and made a significant difference.
Loved driving the truck before the install ... now I find myself looking for curvy roads. :)

Here's the best pricing on RSB I found when I bought mine... No taxes either.

They have two websites. You have to go to this one and use the "FREESHIP" code:

For what it’s worth here’s something I did that helped with a single person install.

I used a 1 gallon paint can with a old towel on top to rest the bar on. But don’t push it to far forward yet!

Then just put on the u bolts with bracket and loosely attach the rear most nut. I found this made life much easier.D989F848-9D3C-4AF3-B5F9-97CE1907D2E4.jpgEAF7562C-5695-4A22-9885-3B46A5AE7A4A.jpg8AF23760-728D-4E4B-B7E8-4B91F391D71E.jpgThen finish bolting everything else on...

In the photo I took the axle brackets are upside down but the same concept still works very well.

Do you have a picture of the completed install? It appears suspiciously like you're about to install the bracket upside-down...

Just did install. Best mod ever. Tops pedal commander (which I rarely use). Controls body roll without affecting exceptional smooth ride. Probably do front now.

why isn’t stock is beyond me...

I just did my install this morning and went out for a long ride.

There is definitely a level of suppleness lost but it’s well worth it. It feels like a completely different truck. It handles so well now. Very controlled and composed even on rougher roads. Overall I am extremely happy but I can honestly see why some owners wouldn’t want one. My truck is a pavement princess...

Did the install yesterday and really like the difference in curves. Considering getting the front sway bar. Is there a big difference with getting the front? I don't go off roading at all so clearance is not an issue for me.

Had mine installed for 3 days, still best mod I ever did. Its less work to drive and go around corners, don't have to lean opposite of the curve or push against something.

I've been reading up on the benefits of an RSB and think it's something I want to add to my Tundra after driving it around for almost 4 months. :spending:

However, I absolutely hate the color red in any form. :frusty: Just the way I am wired, I guess. Does the TRD RSB come only in red?

I guess I could repaint it, but am not sure the paint would hold up. :monocle: What say you folks?

TRD is red but the Hellwig comes in a coated finish that is similar to the hardware included with TRD bar.

On a serious note, rattle can paint these days are pretty damn good. If you seriously don't like the color, paint it your favorite, it will probably last just as long as the original.

I agree I not a fan of the red either, but it does appear to be durable. I installed and the color has grown on me, I would never take it off. I love it. You could scuff it and use some truck bed paint that would probably last the longest. Problem is the red powerder coat appears really good quality.

Thanks for the feedback, gents. It is greatly appreciated. I'll look into the Hellwig option as well.

I ordered this one because I'm thrifty:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/123721855027

Supposed to be delivered today. We'll see if it's of the same quality of the TRD branded one. I do plan on scuffing it up and spraying it down with bedliner for durability.

Let us know if this works. Price is much more appealing than what Toyota wants for it.

Just for information, I bought my TRD RSB from:
    www.toyotaonlineparts.mcgeorgetoyota.com
for $218, no tax and free shipping. I think a few others on this site have done the same. A bit more $ mind you, but well worth every bit of $218 IMO...and using OEM parts can be a plus when selling.

So I had this on my list but this is a different sway bar than the TRD sway bar. To my understanding this is similar to the stock front sway bar so it seems to be lighter weight than the TRD one. Overall, adding a sway bar to the rear will be a big improvement but I assume this will similar to the stock front verse TRD upgrade.

The TRD one is just under 30 lbs. I'll weigh the eBay one and see if there's a difference. But I must say they look to be the same diameter bar. The only differentiation would then be the quality of steel.

So it may have been answered in this thread somewhere, i though I looked through it all though. I am wanting to purchase a TRD Sway bar but I have a 3/1 level kit. Will it still work? is there any mods I have to do to make it work or what?
