That would have been perfect! That jaw style is definitely perfect. But I somehow think that tool runs more than the $60 ($140 list) I scored the SPC tool for lol. I'll still keep the SPC compressors for when I need to do struts on any of our other cars at least.

Yeah I'm sorry you've had such shit luck with the IMS stuff. Hopefully you're next set up will work better for your truck. I'm banking my twins tubes should be just fine.

Nah, they're pretty much the same price. $1400-1500 for that one I linked and $60 for what you bought. LOL. I'm not sure what MLO uses, probably a Branick wall-mounted unit I'd bet since that's the most common one used everywhere.

Sorry to hear that. I hope the bilsteins work. I haven’t mounted my fronts yet so I’m still hopeful. I have different coils and I’m hoping that’s the issue on these and not so much the shocks themselves

Gotta say, the guys at Dobinson’s are really good. For me the shocks didn’t work out, but for others I’m sure it will.

    kudos on their customer service.

That's cool that they're taking them back.

Are you going back to the 6112/5160s?

Yup. Going back to what I had before. I can definitively say though that pretty much no other company would be as reasonable and understanding as Dobinson's and Mike. Cool dudes. The issues I have are definitely not typical.

That's cool that they're taking care of you. I've been following the thread and sounds like you have a unique situation for sure.

What's the wait time on the Bilstein's? I have them on my Tacoma and really like the ride.

Very unique situation lol. I have no real explanation for why I keep getting 4.5 inches of front lift while having a bumper, light bar, and skid plates. But that's all in the past now I guess.

I found one last set on Ebay actually.

I saw pictures from Dobinson's re the 780 IMS and 778 IMS and the other trucks are getting the right numbers. For some reason my truck wouldn't go down past 4.5 inches of lift in the front.

@BashFab aka Chad is a BAMF. Will have his protection all around once he’s done :) I’m definitely equipped to handle it with the Dobinsons suspension.

    That looks rad!

Also, by the look of the brick on your home and the tree in your yard I'm going to speculate that you live on the Augusta Rd side of town? ;)

I'm a Clemson alum. Lived in GVL 2012-2015. Loved it.

Thanks, Nice! I actually live in Taylors, Pebble Creek area about 10 minutes from Paris mountain state park. Clemson grad here too. This is at Chad’s new house/fab garage. He lives near Columbia SC. I couldn’t afford Augusta St lol! But I work at the Hospital right there.

You trimming those lower bedsides for more clearance? Not a lot of 2nd/3rd gen Tundra guys seem to do that but I think it looks bad ass! I loved the look on first gen Tundra's and Tacoma's. And it's super functional since you actually seem to wheel your truck!

Can he please make a copy and I'll drive down from Philly to pick it up :D

I'm not charging to spend 30 seconds with a portaband to cut his exhaust.. before he'd asked me to do it I was already intending to.. can't let it leave looking half assed.. I chop all mine right over the axle so it's gotta be done

And just to be clear you can see the Hd Dobinsons leaf pack much easier now. Which is why this is relevant!

So I decided to go ahead with the install since I had all the parts already. After installing the Initial lift was 4.5". After letting it sit over night its now at 3.5" of lift. Went and got the alignment today and will be driving it more to see if it'll settle to 3". So far I've put about 200miles on it since the lift. Have yet to test it on any trails and haven't taken any recent measurements yet. It's my first setup so still new to what it's supposed to feel like. It is a little stiff from my experience but so far I am happy with the setup. Will update in a few weeks.

Ditto! Reminds me of one of those Arctic trucks they use to drive around on the snow and glaciers.
