Hah! While I have all of the tools to do an install, my garage/driveway are NOT very ideal for working on vehicles as big as a Tundra.

I'd actually recommend dropping the tank and replacing the fuel pump before you do the rest of the install. By the time you get to end of the install, you will not want to drop the tank, trust me on this ;)

I would make sure to be extremely careful when dropping the tank for the fuel pump installation. The wiring harness is a PITA to get to if you have a 38 gallon tank, and if you mess up and pull the wires out of the connector you're kind of screwed. Most of the videos (including Viktor G's) show a 26 gallon tank which is not as annoying to get to the fuel pump wiring for. Make sure you're wearing safety glasses and cover the fuel lines in the front with a rag or something because fuel is going to come out like you wouldn't believe even if you follow the FSM directions to disconnect the fuel pump control unit and crank the truck...

You can also split the install into multiple days, one where you do your fuel pump installation and intercooler plumbing, and then do all of the "engine" work as the final step. If I were to do an install again, I would do this.

Thanks zpman, I have read your build thread before. I think I have read almost all messages regarding supercharger on the forum to Date. Now just hyping myself to do the install myself or not.

Is it true that going with the Harrop, I will be redoing the fuel pump with a supplied one from Harrop? If that is the case, I don’t need to do the fuel pump recall portion from Toyota?

I believe that all of the Harrop Tundra kits come with a replacement fuel pump, so yes, you would not need to do the fuel pump recall if you did this. That being said, I personally had the fuel pump recall done just to check the box off for my truck, in the event that the state government decides to become upset over the recall not being performed at some point in the future. I followed the tech back into the tank after the recall done was done to install the pump for my supercharger.

I'm pretty sure Magnuson kit also require new pump that comes with the kit, we need more feedback on the basic stage 1 harrop kit, I'm so tempted to pull the trigger.
