Just to warn others about a problem I'm having with the Toyota branded black LED fog lights:
After running these for only 2.5 months, I'm getting moisture inside the lens. I did some research and took a little gamble knowing these were not made in Japan like the clear LED fog lights, but I thought since Toyota still put their name on these the quality would be acceptable - WRONG! I thought they were be made in China, but the ones I received were made in Mexico. I'm trying to return, but not sure how that will go:

Sub'd. I too bought these and am happy with their performance. But I wonder if I do get moisture, are they going to say "you installed these yourself instead of having the dealer so they are not warranted"

I just received this reply from McGeorge Toyota only after an hour or so since I sent the complaint. Whew! It wasn't worth a battle over these things. These guys are great!

"We certainly apologize about that. I am going to email you a prepaid return label to get those components back. We will need all the components back that you received from us. Once they arrive back here, we will write a warranty and issue you a refund for the cost of these components. Please check your email and be sure to print that label within 24 hours. "

Hoping you have better luck than me with these. Think I'm going to the clear OEM LEDs or TRD Pro Rigids next.

A lot of people here are going with the Morimoto XB fogs. I'll be going that route once I finish a few other upgrades I'm working on currently

I have always had some confusion about which fog was the actual correct Tundra LED fog. There are the reflector style and the projector style. Seems they switched styles after 2018? I have had the reflector style for 3+ years now and no moisture.

Thanks for the recommendation. Are those amber?

Man, and I was planning to get those too since a pair was roughly less than <$120.

Thinking about DD SS3 Pro or BD Squadron Pro.

I believe they only come in a white LED projector.

Edit: they actually do offer an amber film to change the color for an additional $25

I recommend looking into the DD SS3 Pro.

I agree, would recommend people not even bother with OEM or even the Morimotos, just get the SS3s or Rigids. The cost difference is minimal but the output is considerably better. I've had the Pros and now have the Max, the Pros are perfect for cost/value.

The morimoto xbs put out some decent light. I bought mine off FB marketplace for $120 and they are worth every penny. Eventually I'll get the DD or BD but for now they will do. If anybody does the amber film please take and post pics

One concern I have is if it’s too bright do they blind oncoming traffic? Do others bright light you when running these?

Thanks. Not really a bubble but a bad touch-up job!...rocks ya know. Looks larger in the photo than in real life.

I was going to go with these but it seems like they're a PIA to adjust as you have to uninstall them each time, and having to zip tie them so they don't rattle around kind of throws me off, especially for $200+.

Having had the SS3 max and Rigid SAE D series, they both have a solid cutoff and no issues with light above the low beams. The SS3 pros have a diffuse cutoff and need better aiming, they do appear to cover more area though due to the cutoff not being as sharp. If you’re worried about other drivers I’d recommend the D series SAE, as it’s cheaper than the Max and will not blind others.

Many Thanks to you and others for your recommendations. A nice member on this site is going to sell me a slightly used set of Rigid fogs so I think they will work just fine for my needs. I've already added all the other TRD Pro stuff, so this will just about finish it off! Should I ever get a mod-bug and change these in the future (highly likely), I'll know exactly what to look for.
