Uniball UCAs in snow

    Hey, I apologize if this has been a topic of conversation, but I wasn't able to find what I was looking for with a search.

    Looking for new UCAs to go with a coilover lift and the uniball style bearing has caught my interest, specifically the Camburgs.

    I live in northern Michigan, so we got harsh winters. Looking for advice on whether or not it's a good idea to use uniballs due to the salt. If anyone's had experience with this, let me know what you think

    2019 tundra Trd on king suspension
    4.88 Nitro Gears. King coil overs and rears with remote resi and a pedal commander throttle control. AFE cold air intake. RSI Smartcap and GFC supernate 50.
    Get spc ucas... super adjustable, covered ball joints but still enable your aftermarket suspension to travel more. This uniballs are for the desert folk or people who don’t mind loud components.

    Maybe I'm paranoid, but I had similar offset ball joints to those on my '14 Ram and they failed pretty quickly. Granted, I don't believe they were SPC, and they were just the joint in a OEM uca. Lasted about a year. The offset/adjustment concerns me for longevity

    And it was a Ram as well, so there's that, haha. Had all sorts of front end issues

    I’ve been running the spc’s for several years now without any problems. And I get bad winters as well.

    I mean lots of people on here run the spc... I’m going on about a year with them. No issues. I can’t speak to the longevity just the reputation I guess.

    Ball joint is superior for any kind of weather resistance, lower maintenance.

    Looking at SPC myself; however, keep in mind there are lots of other ball joint options than SPC - Zone, Camburg, etc.

    I'm in southern ontario so similar weather and salt use to you. UNI's never last if you daily drive your truck in the winter. Go for a sealed unit. I had used SPC's in the past. They are sealed AND greaseable.
