My build was March 5th and I’m taking delivery today, in Montana. So three weeks from delivery to build for me. Maybe one upside to less trucks being built is more efficient transit from factory->distributer->dealer?

You might have your trucks by April 22nd-23rd!

 

Yeah my dealer has been great keeping me informed. Also was able to get 2 items removed from my build cause I did not want them. Usually they cannot remove them.

If you feel that there’s anything going wrong with the deal and that the dealership is not communicating properly with you I would definitely call and annoy them. I gave my dealership the benefit of the doubt and I ended up having a really rough experience. My truck was not ordered per the specs I asked for and everything that I had to get added was aftermarket and not an official Toyota product so make sure you protect yourself. Ultimately they made it right though. I feel like if I would’ve spoke up about some concerns I had earlier it would’ve been a better experience. Good luck and have patients. Mine took 4 1/2 months to arrive and I live in Texas!!

 

What size are they and are they going on your stock wheels?

 

They are 295/70R18 for now they'll go on stock wheels but may upgrade soon.

 

How did this turn out, was there a noticeable difference in the squat and handling?

 

Truck is still at dealer, didn't have a chance to do it myself so I dropped it off to get bunch things done at once, incld the RAS.

 

for those interested..... I just got an April 8th-13th ETA for my truck to land at my dealership here in upstate NY. Build date was March 12th.

I posted before - but not sure if it was in this thread.

I placed deposit on a 2021 Lunar Rock CM at a dealer in Central Ohio.

They sent me build sheets on 2 they had been allocated - complete with VINs.

Trucks likely are at some point in production as they have a VIN - but won't be ready for delivery until May per dealer.

Price was sticker (56 and change) had bedliner and side steps spec'd. Not sure if this could be changed if you really wanted - but of your sold on one of these and are having trouble finding - heres your chance to buy at sticker (plus tax and $250 dealer fee and any title cost). At last check they still had the other unsold.

If your interested- can just drop me a pm and I will share name of dealer and sales rep I talked to there. No affiliation and nothing being kicked back to me - just sharing for those who are searching. They took my $500 to hold and balance due at delivery.

I have said it before and will repeat it - I think the supply shortges are real, although slightly over hyped....Ford just shut down F150 production FOR A WEEKEND. Granted thats something- but its not like they stopped building for a couple of months....its a couple of days - how many lost units does that equate to 2-4k (my best educated guess). Hearing Honda did same thing at the Accord line in Marysville.

Assuming they put out 500-750 units a day, and its obvious they are selling every truck they build these days...it does show they are lacking components and running out of room to store partially finished units. But at the same time - supply will be replenished and then manufacturers are left with a ton of inventory to be moved out all at once. Unlike toilet paper - consumers don't "stock up" on new cars and getting all this product onto lots is not as simple as hiring a few more trucks for a week. It only makes sense to pause production to avoid a flood of new 2021s coming online all at once in June/July - knowing a dealer might sell 135%-165% of last years sales...not 300%.

Put a bedrug mat over the bottom of the spray in (for the dogs, mostly), and a weathertech full floorliner in the 2nd row for dogs and gear. Planning on installing my Yakima Overhaul bed rack sometime this weekend!

I placed a deposit last Friday on Pro Luna Rock.
I asked my salesman yesterday & told me my build date is 4/21/21 with a arrival date in middle of May. Fingers crossed that I get it sooner!

I am neck deep in research of Line-x and BedRug for mine. I love the idea of protecting the bed with the Line-x but I want the padding and softness of the BedRug for my very pricey road bikes and accessories. With that said I am definitely interested in doing BOTH. Did you have trouble with the BedRug mat staying in place with the spray in bedliner as far as the velcro holding with adhesive?? I'm planning on the full bed BedRug for sure, just can't decide if the getting the Line-x is also good, bad, overkill, etc.

Also, about to pull trigger on ARE Z-series cap with all the bells/whistles. Interesting that my VIN on Toyota shows my Exterior Color as "Urban Khaki (6x3)" - isn't it Lunar Rock???!!!! I'm a member of the Lunar Rock Club dammit! This aint no stinkin urban khaki!

 

Their internal system lists it as Urban Khaki, but that is the correct paint code. When searching for color matched parts, urban khaki is what you need to search for

Got mine this week in Dublin, OH. Really loving the color. Not going too crazy with mods on this one; just a light bar, bigger tires, Westcott front and coach builder rears. I will post after pictures next week.
