Found my old truck for sale....

Sold my 2013 to Carvana back in October. It left FL and ended up at this place in Raleigh NC. Since I put a leveling kit on after pulling the lift, they put on a wheel and tire package. They put on cheap ass tires (never heard of Venom Power) in 275/60/20's so that probably killed the mpg with the 4.6. They also stripped the front tint and fixed the paint rub from the flares. They didn't remove the radar detector mount or old switches that were left and disconnected. I guess they didn't want to pay for new blank cover...lol.

Tempted to buy it back?

 

No....was curious what reconditioning Carvana did to it.

 

Just out of curiosity, how much have they marked it up from what you sold it for?

 

Carvana bought it for 17,741 and Carvana originally listed it for 21,990.

 

interesting, so they marked it up a good 23% or so.

 

Traded in my 08 Taco for my 14 Tundra.

Since December '13 the Taco has had, no joke, a dozen owners. Seen it pop up on trucks only, CL, FB and even showed up for suspension work to a shop I used to work at.

Been used, abused and enjoyed by many.

 

KBB bought my 14’ double cab with 105k for $22,800 last week and they are selling it for $25,900

 

I've never seen any car/truck for sale again after I've sold it. I have seen other vehicles I've looked at in the past come up for sale again years later. Everyone has increased in price despite next to nothing being done to them.

 

Here’s my 4Runner that I traded in, in New Jersey. It was sold already somewhere down in the Carolinas. I bought the truck for 33k and traded it in because large portions of the truck needed to be repainted because of a lemon factory paint job...this poor new owner is in for a big suprise.

 

Ask the dealer if you could contact the previous owner.............

I have not seen my old vehicles for sale but I contacted a guy about a hunting lease that ended up being the guy I sold my Gen 1 Tundra to at 80k. He put 120k on it in a little over 2 years with nothing more than brakes, ties and oil change. Said it took him a while to get all the dog hair out of the carpet.

 

I've seen a few of the cars/trucks driving around the areas I lived in and currently live in. The first was an '86 4runner I traded in '92 for a new Camry. I often saw it parked by some condos/apts I'd drive past regularly then. After a year or so it was gone. I got a link to unlimited free Carfax reports a number of years later. Out of curiosity I ran the VIN's of it and a few others I had owned. All came up with at the time with current histories but not the 4-runner. I have a feeling it was either stolen or wrecked.

 

So Carvana wholesaled it to a used car dealer in Raleigh, NC? Interesting insight into their business.

 

No sure. Carvana still had it on their site but it said not available. I googled the VIN.

 

It sold a couple of days ago. Let's see if it makes it way back to the forum. This is what it looked like when it sold.
