I’ll be doing the Grand Reveal of my Feather Duster Collection soon. Ironically, one of them is named Black Wolf.

Speaking of deep feather dusting, in the header install, I noticed the ground of all grounds, I assume from the starter. It’s below the driver drain for coolant on the block. I don’t remember you mentioning this during the ground beautification project. It’s a heavy gauge wire, looks like lots of mojo flows thru it, I just looked in awe, didn’t want to disturb it.

 Quit smoking, drink less alcohol, maybe consider better diet, and get out in that CO air for a little fitness. It’s free!

Love my K&N but it came with the Tuna so it didn't cost anything in my case. I like the sound it makes... but I was always that kid riding around with a card in my spokes.

My 01 had a K&N system. My 00 was completely stock. Presently my 05 has a molested stock airbox but I'm switching to the airaid I just purchased from another member. I've been through a few others on various other cars through the years.
You are correct about many not knowing how to oil the filter properly. I have chosen many years ago to stop using the oiled filters because of the maf's proximity to the filter. There is no question that oiled filters are superior to dry at filtering out the finest of particles but a dry filter keeps the maf happy.
IMO (ain't worth much) $300 or so is a lot of money for something that really has no true proven track record on a stock motor. $300 is almost halfway to diff rebuild with gears, now that is $$ well spent if you're looking for a bit of performance

I hear you but never ever have had maf issues.I've posted pics of my maf on my 07 after 4 years with my K&N. Like new. It truly depends on circumstances. I used to wheel a lot in eastern Orygun and nw Nevada. Alkali silt will F up filters quick. Dry or oiled. Alkali silt gets into everything. Literally. Fast, so check your filter accordingly. How far North are you?

In those conditions then an oiled filter would be the way to go but the cleaning schedule would be like a car wash, once a week.

I left the northern states because I'm allergic to cold, snow, sleet and greedy, dirty, lying cheating politics. I'm in the most southern of states, Florida. Still have greedy, dirty, lying cheating politics but no snow

I just ordered the aFe ProGuard and am going to give that a try. It’s supposed to filter better than their dry model.

Kuul. I spent 4 months in Melbourne in 04 to help out a friend starting up a calibration lab. June to September. Was bad timing......Charley, Francis, and Ivan. I missed out on Jeanne. On my way out I bought two 5lb bags of your Vidalia onions. Simply the best:thumbsup:

You are not far from Okeechobee. I never got there but it was nice to spend some quality time in FL. I got a chance to go see the Daytona race track up close. Off season but way kuul anyways.

What do you mean quality time? Turn the hot water on you get hot, you turn the cold water on you get hot.. I want to go back up north, tired of sweating my ass off 10 months out of the year. No mountains, no change of seasons...
