Want to make sure I fit in when I visit! on another less serious note what would y’all say are the must visits of your state for a good ole boy visiting from the south. Swear I’m not a redneck. I don’t smoke, litter, or cost the government anything yet that I know of! TIA

My truck is equipped but I’ll be hauling the Raven and it doesn’t like tight trails too much, but I’m ok with some rubbing. Also I’m afraid of heights so don’t send me in a cray shelf road I can’t fit on. 4DB0B38B-2F8F-4014-90F2-88797DF0B0E1.jpg

I have 3 weeks to get there and back. I wanna find the best parts. I’ve only been in winter so far. I also loosely base my travels around free camping and mountain biking.seriously I’m not a hippie no matter how it sounds! I’ll shower at least twice.
    Ok so loosely beyond Denver...

I edited my post as I just post on the fly but in this instance there were some much needed revisions. But do you really want your neighborhood ruled by a gun? Don’t think this is peace. I appreciate your service as I never had to serve because of you. But help me understand how you want an armed population controlling the unarmed? Sounds like that could get sticky quickly. Maybe I need to get in line for more ammo if this is our new peace. I’m open and honest here and ok to be wrong. I just don’t get how having a bunch of bullets and guns is gonna be good for peace. Until the apocalypse and then we’ll be on the same side I hope. I’m getting zombie bumpers so you bring your guns haha

I want the experiences. Mountain biking, wheeling, camping, local flavor. My last “Mecca” was Sedona and I loved it.1925168A-2A1D-4A10-AFE2-8D8860E8CA85.jpg
See the truck in the back ground? This was late November 2020z
I usually only stay at camp one night
Because of my style, but if the right place I’ll “settle down”’for two or three nights.

I would recommend Fruita to you as a location to research. High on the list for mountain biking, and a central location for access to an array of off road trails within 1hr.

I'm not implying that an armed population should have control over an unarmed population. That by definition becomes tyranny. I'm implying that in an armed society where criminals and people who are mentally ill and armed are less likely to perpetrate their crimes against others if they new that swift retaliation is more of a probability than a potential possiblity. I feel like the reason this is happening more and more aside from the lack of mental healthcare is also the lack of firearms training in our population. 50 to 70 years ago they taught firearms safety and training in most high schools in this country. Kids grew up understand the importance of firearm safety but also the potential deviation a firearm can cause. As to being wrong there is no wrong or right in this discussion in my opinion. You're entitled to feel how you feel and so am I. And both of us can be right. This world isn't black and white or right and wrong.

Yes I think we agree on a lot of things and I don’t know what the right answer is. Just sad where we are right now and how these things seem to keep happening at an increased frequency.

Dropped off two vehicles worth of food, and drinks to BPD today. I was able to obtain this in just one day; in addition to $800 in donations being used to cater them food

I used to ride Fruita 6-7 times a year. The first GoPro was fuckin stupid and I couldn’t ever tell if it was on. Went to fruita on a bike trip. Got home and all my video was me turning on the GoPro in the parking lot and off at the base of the trail...so it was all in reverse fashion, filming dumb nothing ness and riding trails with it off. But I captured some awesome conversations about metal bands and Christopher Walken.

honestly dude, i dont even think your a hippie from reading your posts. you seem like just a regular dude. your right, bullets and guns are not the way to a peaceful world, but i really dont exactly see what you mean by that? Do you think pro gun people are saying we need to shoot people for peace? no. The gun is just there for protection. if you love freedom, peace, and happiness then why do you want more government legislation in your life? Like your posts just say the most buzzwordy stuff that i even agree with one hundred percent, but you might want to provide some more ground with your stance other than stating the facts of life to which most level headed people already agree with anyways. My older sister who is tiny as hell carrys everywhere for her safety, shes the sweetest most hippie chick you will ever meet, shes even going through a strange vegan stage lolol. The old rednecks down the road have a gun, the gay male couple down the road has a gun, the sweet old lady down the street has one. We may seem hostile with our long paragraphs, but were not :) we just all see the direction this is going with our second amendment, mostly cause of childish simplistic views on our second amendment, that is why. have a good one
