This is the combo I have sitting in my garage, the twin tube and the 778. So I'm quite curious to, but what I saw from somebody else is it was closer to 2.75" I believe. I actually have some shims from Boss 4x4 to throw in if I feel like I need them. Right now I still won't have these on until the 17th of April I'm afraid, which is the only weekend I have free. I like doing all my own work and hate paying people for something I can do. However extra time is hard to come by these days lol.

Just get the C59-610, they are great springs and your CVs will thank you.

What options did dobinsons give you? I just got an email earlier. I can return them, pay for shipping plus 20% restocking fee or exchange them for the twin tubes.

I'm confused then why run 37s, there is no practical reason other than looks. Such a big headache to run that size, its not worth it. You really should be doing full LT, more than 3" lift, wide fenders and be prepared to chop the body if you want 37s.

There is more Clearance is why, although only a lil more, it all matters. Wasn't a headache at all to get them to fit. I plan on doing LT in the future, wide fenders. Not going to Have to chop the body, but thanks for all the suggestions lol

I'm a big fan of pizza cutters, but I still wanted something aggressive. I loved my old Cooper ST Maxx but they didn't come in this skinny 35" size. Price was damn good too for the size since it's a bit of an oddball size.

Now 900 miles of driving on the IMS with 778s. Still at 4.5 inches of lift on the 2nd clip on each side.

They should scrap the whole project imo. Stick with twin tubes. This is another Covid era product where they rushed it out without any valving/design/height R&D.

Told dobinson’s, and they haven’t responded.

I took some time today and measured the stock shocks vs the IMS shocks. It looks like that the bottom clip is actually supposed to be the default or 0 lift position. I measured from the center of the bottom eyelet to spring seat and it's the same measurement as the IMS in the lowest position and the twin tubes spring seat. This definitely explains the height variations to some extent. Not the extreme case of @TundraLaw but it does shed some light. Just my 2 cents if anyone goes the IMS route.

I ordered some Eibach coils to try out for a softer spring rate and lower lift. Figured what the hell at this point. I can swap the coilovers out in about 2 hrs.

I have to comment here. These springs do great for a heavy load like a lot of overlanders and campers carry. And bouncing is relative. I drive it without the camper and find it planted and fun to hit shit... ya know different things for different people. And I have the heavy springs and a FWC that’s not always on. Exactly what I was looking for.

I am looking forward to seeing what ride height you get with your new Eibach's! Also curious as to the difference in ride. Thanks for being the guinea pig with this. I hope you land on a sweet combo, I know first hand these IMS shocks are nice when paired to the correct spring for the application.

I’ve got the 610 springs with the ims sitting in the garage waiting to go on.

hopefully they aren’t too stiff til my c4 bumper comes in and I get the winch on and second battery up front.

Might be a bit stiff before you add all that but I think you'll love it after you get all that put on!

Just take off and don’t offend the LC crowd floating around and about out there on the road. The 610 spring is perfect for me. Will update you when I get my truck back from @BashFab :)

I don’t exactly know what this means but you’re obviously an unhappy customer. Sounds like you need to stay off the forums for a few days. I’ve put 20,000k plus miles on the twin tube shocks and have loved every minute once I got the leaf pack. The kit I got shreds. Sorry you have had a different experience. Please sort this out with dobinsons USA and don’t bring us all down with you. I appreciate your objective posts but these are not helpful. They are at they’re best on a bumpy dirt road going 30mph around a corner with a heavy load. Also they do awesome on the road at 80 when you’re over GVWR.346F5509-AECB-47E3-B971-8C5BC06B2C45.jpg

You have twin tubes. You cannot comment re the IMS.

I’ve had a different set of IMS shocks sent out and installed on my dime, and they still are terrible. I get your twin tubes are fine, but your comments are not helpful for those of us with the subpar IMS system.

I hope I’ve made it abundantly clear that the IMS is my issue. The leafs may be good with the twin tubes, but as others will attest to as well, the IMS shocks and coils, with and without the leaf springs are just not right.

lol. I don’t think anyone should be banned or blocked. I meant it as, you cannot comment (speak to) as to the IMS’s efficacy; not generally speaking on the forum.

I will stop here, I just feel like you are upset and should wait a few days before you keep commenting on this. I would be mad too. But I’m very happy and this thread is about the Dobinsons lift in general. It’s been well documented all along they provide more than advertised lift and ride a little rough. Seriously sorry about your issues. But I’m very happy and want people to know this is an excellent 2.5”’ budget lift for a heavy load. So it’s hard to see all the hate when I’m so happy. No hate just want some differentiation I guess. The lift kit I have shreds for what I do. Modifying your truck is a challenge and I respect that. I’ve had my challenges. Peace. Could see myself as the upset one here.. but I’m the complete opposite. Definitely a challenge to work with Dobinsons because they’re new to the tundra game. Guess I got lucky and chose right (MLO really helped me choose and there were less choices when i adopted this and extremely heavy load). Just want others to know how awesome what I chose was for me. And if you’re not hauling 500lbs even the medium duty rear springs may not be for you.
