Color matched surround and limited insert Grilles

I have a limited in magnetic gun metal and I am looking to keep my limited grille insert and get rid of the chrome surround and hood bulge to color match it. I plan on keeping the chrome bumper end caps as well. Does anyone have this setup in MGM?

I post to this Monday. I have a limited grille color matched in Cement going on my TRD SR5.

 

I’ve scoured the forums and maybe only seen one or two with this set up

 

Looks really good but I don’t plan on color matching those bumper inserts

 

Just got the Tundra back from the body shop. SR5 with limited Color matched grille.

I almost did this ... but bit the bullet and bought the TRD Pro Grille with overpriced TSS sensor cover ... love the look!

 

I have a 20 Cement Limited and this has been my struggle also. Trying to figure out the look I like best and not break the bank. That’s a good look with the color match.

 

Thanks. I definitely went back and forth I’m not sure they do the color match with the limited. It’s different. I like different.

 

Question is do I continue and do the bumper caps now?

 

Looks good af. Keep some of that chrome. I do love the front being completely color matched but kind of liking some chrome with the limited grille as well

 

Here's another one like @Cement20's above. The only other one I've seen like this, with the chrome/silver grille combined with body-color surround. In my case, with the brown paint, it was a no-brainer - the black-out look works well on many colors, but not these dark metalic ones. I opted for a chrome "tundra" emblem too. (Forgive the grime - it's not even worth trying to keep it clean this time of year, with the snow melting into mud.)

I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I finally put actual bumpers on this thing. Chrome options are expensive and limited, and black paint just wouldn't look good. Might have to have something made out of stainless. Between that and the propensity for showing dirt, there's a pretty good argument against this color, but I'm happy with the subtle-but-classy look most of the time. (I hated the chrome surround with a passion, just from an overall aversion-to-gawdiness standpoint.)

 

This is awesome. I searched for a while to find one with this set up. I’m happy to be different.

 

You guys might be on to something with this look.

 

I decided to ditch the chrome grille on my 2014 1794 and go with the 14-17 TRD Pro grille. To be a little different I’m going to paint all the black pieces white to take the color match one step further and leave the Toyota in the middle the matte silver color that it comes in. Grille arrives next week from Sparks parts and I’m having a local paint shop do the paint for me. Should look sweet.

 

Looks good. I’m debating doing this look. Not that I don’t like the Toyota pro grille, because I do, but everyone is doing that

 

Different is good. I love the TRD Pro grille. But everyone has it now

 

I’m not tenured enough to post in marketplace, but I wanted to put this on here in case anyone was looking for a stock SR5 2020 crewmax grille and hood bulge.
