That's exactly what I have. I'll update once I get them installed, but that may not happen until April 17th given my current schedule.

 

Oh yea. The shocks are valved terribly for our trucks imo

 

Yea,I'm supposed to get mine installed on the 13th, hopefully @crikeymike takes care me swiftly like he did with the coils. Just waiting to get an email back from him

 

Got another alignment done today and the ride height is still roughly the same. This tech did tell me he had a tough time because the springs don't seem to settle to the final ride height when you first put the front end down. It has to be driven for a little bit and rechecked. Which would make sense why my alignment from two weeks ago was already so off. As this point I'm kinda at loss with this suspension. I drive a lot for work so having my alignment off is already eating at my tires.

 

Jeez. Agreed, my tires are getting chewed up too. I am returning this whole dobinson’s kit when I get back from my vacation. Drove from Nevada to Phoenix. Good lord was it uncomfortable. I’ve had enough. It’s just not right, and they’ve put me through two installs already. It’s easily the worst decision I’ve made thus far with my tundra.

 

That is completely normal.

 

Agreed to some extent but he said it is much more than normal. This is the same tech that aligned my leveling kit I had before this and had no issues getting it right in one shot.

I just got my ims front and rears with 778s in. Ordered these about 3 weeks ago. I've been checking up on this thread religiously to see if your suspensions would finally settle in and improve. I'm lost as to what I should do? Should I even bother trying to install? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks fellas and bummed out the suspension is not working for some of you.

Did your leveling kit consist of new springs or just spacers?

 

I just emailed them asking to return them. I'm probably gonna just do the eibach pro kit

 

I decided to hit a BLM trail 30min from my house tonight. (I have new light pods I wanted to try). Welp, I had a blast.

The 610 coils are very well matched to the weight of my bumper and winch. The front shocks are very good as well. (Don't have rears installed yet)

There were multiple times tonight when I thought I had come into a rough section of trail too fast but the truck handled it all beautifully. I was shocked by what I was as able to get away with speed wise. Very, very pleased with how good the truck handled going fast over gnarly ruts and questionable lines.

I believe my springs have settled fully, my center of hub to fender is at 24.2" which puts me pretty much right at the advertised lift of 2.25". My front droop travel measures 2.6" inches. More would be nice but after what I just got done doing maybe that's going to be enough droop since it rode so good on the trail tonight. I never felt a topout clunk and I didn't bottom out either.

I was running 35psi in all four load E tires, usually I'd air down but this was just a quick flogging so I didn't bother.

I am looking forward to driving the truck 9hr to Nebraska next month to the ranch my Dad was born and raised on. I'll use the truck to set up targets out in a pasrure for a shoot we're hosting. Everyone is gonna be a little surprised how quick this truck can comfortably go compared to the farm trucks or the old willy's!

 

So glad to hear someone is having some success with these shocks. How many miles do you have on your suspension? I'm at 1200 miles and I haven't really gone down in height at all.

 

I think it's a combination of too much spring rates and too high of mounting points on the ims. I think the 778 could and the twin tube would be an OK combination.... just not sure I wanna gamble on it working or return the whole kit? So frustrating

 

The aussies like to set up for the outback with all the heavy bumpers and winches, they prolly used a tundra that was set up the same way. They accounted for all the sag with that stuff and in turn, made too high of spring rates and height levels on the ims ‍‍

 

You’re probably right. Maybe Mike can chime in and describe the test vehicle for the medium and/or heavy coils. The regular coils seem to have no issues and everybody seems to be happy with them so they can do it right but just missed the mark on the heavier springs. OME did the same thing on their HD (613) springs, if you ask me.

 

Currently running OME nitrochargers with 612 springs and have had no issues at all. Ordered thru toytec assembled.

 

No regrets with here with the Dobs twin tubes, 778 coils, and Med 120r springs, with ~500lbs constant rear load.

Just to reiterate what was earlier discussed, contrary to Dobs specs, the HD leafs seem actually suited for minimum of 700lbs added bed weight.

For the mediums I would even guess that having only 200lbs in bed would feel stiffer than 4-500lbs. I would also guess that in the front I would be ok adding a some weight like a hybrid bumper or dual batts without issue but I'll have to try before I support that claim.

I was steered away from the IMS to the Twins.

 

How much lift did you get with the 778 and twin tubes?

 

Thanks. Yeah, I feel fortunate considering what others are currently going through with their IMS setups. I do think having the heavier iron block 4.7 maybe contributing to why my setup is more dialed in even with the bumper/winch on my rig. I am at 300 miles on the new suspension. I hope everyone struggling with their vehicles gets taken care of.

 

I also emailed them, waiting to hear back from them tomorrow. Not sure what I'm going to do, maybe ironman.

 

Ironman was my first choice, but they're still out of stock on the spring rate that I wanted. I'm going to call dobinson tomorrow.

Wth, aren't you supposed to get 2.5" lift with the 778s?
