Yep. Me in it, half a tank of gas, and probably 30lbs of oil I had not recycled yet.

I'm sure that I'm flirting with the GVWR when we have both dogs, both humans, and all our camping gear.

I’m not one to brag... but I just installed this OEM Denso unit in my 06 DC. With 54k miles on her, I like keeping the OEM look on the inside, so no fancy backup camera or Bluetooth. Almost like you time traveled to a CPO Toyota lot in 2008 and picked up this beauty

@Professional Hand Model it is used, got it for $100 plus shipping from a guy on the First Gen Tundra Facebook group. I’m a perfectionist so I asked for tons of pics, no scratches on it whatsoever. Even has the MAP dvd for the navigation.

I see “working” ones go for hundreds on EBay all the time.

The GX has a a little android box called GROM that can be installed with the factory nav unit. If you wanted BT and some apps that might be worth a look.

I got the truck aligned yesterday and it's smoov, happy as always with my alignment tech. Headed out to the desert after work so guess we'll see how smooth it really is. Hub-to-fender after alignment and some driving is at 21".

Discount ended up covering the replacement of three studs and six brand new lug nuts. I'm a happy camper. One of the techs at the shop they sent me to backed the truck out and tried to sell me some BS about my oil pressure gauge. Eyeroll.

I installed my diode fuse plus fancy battery tie-down from @Coupe. Pictures to come later. Battery is reading around 14.3-14.4v when engine is running.

I went with the HKB one from Leigh after reading their posts on that 4runner thread. A little more pricey than the GM link below but it came with literature and piece of mind.

This was my concern about adding the BFF rear bumper with side protection. I know that thing has to weigh a lot.

3rd weekend in a row out camping. Wife had lots of grading to do this weekend so the boys and I bailed for some hiking and playing. Ohio typically is unfavorable in March, but the last three weekends have been pretty good.
Hueston woods state park s this time.

got to try out the tank I added on the trip too. When I hit ten gallons used according to the scan gauge I flipped the switch. Unsure how long it took to drain into the main as the fuel gauge appears to react slowly, but 45 minutes later we were at our destination and the gauge was back up to 3/4 and aux tank was empty, great success.

ThNk you. They look great. I’m an idiot and didn’t ask what I thought I asked. I wanted a shot looking down the side like this next time you’re out and about.

Not sure of how a gas cap can ruin cats - unless you somehow jammed the gas cap down the exhaust.

The rear sensors do nothing other than report cat efficiency. These are narrow-band and are simply reporting back a varying voltage. The ECU is checking to make sure there is oscillation (you can't run @ 14.7 as the injection system is constant going lean/rich using the front O2 sensors for the feedback loop). If it bothers you (also a pain to constantly pull codes to ensure nothing else is wrong) - you can generate your own signal.

555 timer chip / capacitor driver with a voltage divider will get the ECU the signal it needs and the whole thing costs about $5. Unfortunately, these parts are so cheap you'll have enough to build at least 10.

Notice: Only use this for testing and diagnostic, not legal for on road use in whatever number of states, blah blah blah.

Chief Eagle Eye in the Sky sent me a Virtual Smoke Signal. It was a bit windy so it took a while to decipher. He say look at screw stuck in tire. No biggie as it barely penetrated (she said).

Opened up the Steering Cover to inspect the wire short on top. Looks like I taped this off already when I was in lubing the Shift Column Ball hard about two years ago. Lubed the Steering Ball as I never did it in there last time.

Added a little touch of (non biodegradable) nature to the camping setup today.
