Regarding the stealer discount program, parts.lewistoyota.com in Topeka Kansas has the best prices I've seen. Compare a part with your favorite participant and see.

I'd prefer to buy local but my stealer is why they get that name. They won't come off full msrp on parts and the service department will up-sell their own grandma on a bogus "recommended service".

Closest participating parts.toyota dealer is 100+ miles away.

Took the truck to recycle all the used oil and brake fluid I had. Their scales weighed me in at 5,620 lbs.

Are you going directly to that website, or going through the Toyota program? When I go to that website(parts.lewistoyota.com) and compare prices, McGeorge is still cheaper by 4-5%.

    The part# I used is 68210-0C010

Good to know about McGeorge, I just compared several other dealers to Lewis.

I just went to the website, there's more to it?

Whilst you may ‘save’ with some stealers sites, you may get the ‘shaft’ on shipping. Must consider the big picture as you know. Some shipping areas will negate ‘savings’.

In my case, the local stealer participates and is close by for free pick up. Shipping, I’ve recently discovered, is cheap to my house and saves me from Plump Virus Finger (from touching his mask) Big Boy Mask Enforcement at the parts check out. A win win.

Yeah, it's only worth it if you get the free shipping. >$75 worth of genuine Toyoda products.

Well now I'm confused. There is a Toyota Parts Program which PHM has mentioned 1000 times in which you can enter your zip code, and look for participating dealers close to you. Their prices vary. So when you said the Staler Discount program I assumed you found that KS dealer through that program. That isn't the same as just going directly to that dealers website.

That program is good if you have a dealer close to your house that participates. I do not. And the nearest one(40 miles each way) won't ship and their prices are still higher than McGeorge. So there really is zero benefit for me to use this program until a closer dealer joins. I haven't found anyone that can beat McGeorge.

Thanks - would not have thought of that too. I'll probably do the whole thing when I replace the alternator that's on it's way out.

Yeah. Figure out your Radiator age as thats important and all part of the ‘while you are in there’. Nothing like going back twice when you can do it right the first time.

Wow! My original lasted only 10 years. Just replaced the second with a new one because ‘while you are in there’.

You can take a pic of the radiator on top there should be a time stamp engrained on the plastic.

Yeah, I might be a little confused too. I'm under the impression anyone can use any participating dealer through parts.toyota.com They all seem to have free shipping over $75

It looks like all participating dealers have similar discounted prices. McGeorge being the lowest yet.

@Professional Hand Model is there more to the program other than picking any dealer through parts.toyota?

There are some dealers "close" to me that participate, but it seems like they charge more because it's CA (still at a discounted amount off MSRP). There's also the fuel cost and time cost going there. Generally McGeorge is the most economical for me as well. Carlock of Tupelo also runs some deals that make it cheaper; that's where I just got my CV. I did some shopping around at other dealers while I waited for the backorder and I couldn't find anything cheaper than those two.

You can. But earlier you just gave their direct link to their website. So I just wanted to confirm you were not getting a better price by re-routing through Toyota Coporate.

TLDR- use the dealer program if there is one close to your house otherwise McGeorge is probably the cheapest. RIP Toyota of Cool Springs.

All I know is shipping is free *to the Stealer* if I pick up in person. They are close so no problem.

My other close by Toy Stealer does not participate. Not all Stealers participate from reading others on here.

Never seen *free ship to house* in the programme. I did it recently and it was fair priced like $5 bucks for some gaskets with ‘cheapest 3 week Lead Time’ but ended up making it to my house in 2 days which would have been $38 if I selected.

Been starring at me for about a year now because my basically brand new Cats went bad after my gas cap went bad. Tried cleaning additives but no luck. I really don’t want to pay $1,200 for new cats. Wondering if I should just take them off and let them soak in soap water for a day or two in the hopes they clean up n turn that orange demon off.

By comparison, I used to shop at Toy Part Deal. Com which I used until recently. Their parts were well priced, yet shipping killed and they don’t have a parts guy who used to be a tech to consult with like I do at my participating stealer. Win win.

I still use Toy Part Deal as a cross reference along with another 2 sites to confirm fitments and pricing. Once you figure out cross reference of the various sites with your VIN and find a close by participating dealer you will be in excellent territory.

The other key to well priced OEM parts is direct sourcing (bypassing stealer). Like MAF Sensor is Hitachi at 1/4 price. Denso Ig Coils are $54 vs $180 stealer price etc.

Which I never had a problem as I ordered the proper part except for a wrong gas cap. Their business model is based on NOT TALKING ON THE PHONE. The email thing is bad.

The New Programme is beautiful as it is local if a problem.

Yep, if they weren't sending parts via freight the prices were not bad. But it's ridiculous to have a 40+ email thread that could've been answered by a regular parts dealer in five emails, or less than ten minutes on the phone. Plus "accounting" only responded within their promised timeline once I started mentioning the bank.
