Anyone have the quick details on Toyota of Bellevue, Wash? Legit???

 

Untamed usually speaks of them like they mark up their vehicles quite a bit.

I order a Pro in LR on Jan 26th, was told around 3 months. I waited a month and asked for an update, build date was April 26th which was longer than 3 months obviously. I just checked up on it the other day and the build date is now May 5th with possible delivery by end of July!? So I'm hunkering down for the long haul haha.

Wow. By the time you get the truck it could very well be after the new tundra unveil.

 

They do mark them up but I think you can get some extras thrown in for the mark up. I called Westscott designs and asked who should I get to install their kit and without hesitation they said Toyota of Bellevue. They add a lot of aftermarket items to their trucks to spice them up a bit from what I've seen. Give them a shot, who knows

 

Mine was scheduled to be built this past Monday (15th), a few weeks ago the dealer said that it was pushed out till April 2nd. Said i wasn't going to bug anyone till the April. Your post got the best of me....... Called the dealer and mine is still on track for 4/2.

 

I'm pretty sure that's where @Jmn got his truck with the bright red rims!

 

Another commenter on a Tundra Youtube video is in the same boat and I told him I wasn't going to bother them for a bit too...he reminded me that they have my money on deposit and we are going to be spending quite a bit over the next few years on these vehicles...now I don't mind at all bugging them haha. That's great news that your 2nd build date is still on track. Let us know if that build date sticks!

My build date has not changed since I was told. March 29 and should see it sometime end of April what I have been told. Not worried about it. I have the spec sheet and Vin. Number and my deposit on it. It’s mine so they cannot sell it to know one. If I decide I don’t want it I know that won’t happen I get my deposit back.

I guess I'm confused as to what this has to do with how many LRs have been made - or availability in the future?

I don't doubt the figures - likely based on reported DMV figures for Toyota Tundras titled (which would be available to a company compiling a report like this) - but its not Toyota sales figures for TRD Pro - much less a specific color (which are likely closely guarded).

So Toyota sold 5900 units this Feb vs 8k last Feb. Thats probably about right - dealers want less inventory on hand and prefer to keep a 60-90 day supply vs 120-150 in a year where there wouldn't be a refresh.

But we have no way of knowing how many of those 5900 were SR5, how many 1794 or how many Pro for example. What if Pros were 800 of the 2019 number (10%) - but say 1200 of the 2020 (20%) - inventory actually increased while total production sank. Its just a guessing game and this is not relevant.

 

towed the 18footer home, towed very well but need the Roadmaster springs to be put on, you can see the sag, tongue weight was about 350lbs.

Yes, dealers LOVE posting vehicles to their site the moment they have a VIN.

1 local "posted" 5 Pro's yesterday - called and talked to salesperson i know there. All 5 are sold - but they post to site to troll for leads.

They know it will create inquires - and they can try to sell those leads on something on hand or into a non pro trim.

As to Pro's - they simply don't want to take any additional deposits - as they make great trade bait in dealer swaps and until allocation outpaces demand its more profitable.

I get that new cars aren't a huge money maker - and its likely that they will need to make a swap in the future - vs selling to that customer out of state who will NEVER step foot in their showroom again....but still some dealers just amaze me with who they value more. Better to sell local and build a relationship than it is to trade a dozen cars around.

 

Well, I've been searching for the Lunar Rock without much luck, other than getting high priority spots for allocation listings here and there. I was basically starting to resign to the facts that June or later would be my only shot, if any, at getting any of the allocation builds. On a whim I peeked at one of my local dealers in SoCal and they had a fresh one listed. Emailed at 16:00-ish on availability and was shocked to learn it was there in the showroom. Wife and I jump in the car and head straight over thinking we would see our first Tundra Lunar Rock in person but that it would surely be spoken for and already sold. Nope, it was mine if I wanted it. ADM was there, and it was missing my desired factory spray-in bed liner, but had other options including predator bars and a red rear Tundra badge insert. Most importantly it was sitting in front of me, in person, looking gorgeous in my state, and ready for me to take it home - SO I DID!!!!!! I'm officially a Lunar Rock Club member!!!!!

After speaking to David Ekstrom at CB, I've ordered The Coachbuilder TRD Pro Full Kit with the 1.25" Bora Spacers. The New 295/70R18 Ridge Grapplers should be here Monday. This was the only tundra they could sell, the other 5 are waiting for new cats, they were hit a month or so ago, all the tundras on the lot had the cats cut off.

Congrats and welcome! My bed stamp letters are from Tuffskinz. More expensive than the etsy/Amazon/ebay vinyl or ABS ones, but seem better quality and a closer match to the factory tailgate ones for profile. I’m pretty sure the tuffskinz ones are the ones that SET distributors will install as an option.
