Gaffers tape works well too. I've got two Dell Optiplex 3080s attached to the digital signage TVs at work after IT just left them hanging.

Busy day over here today. Landscapers planted everything this morning and tied them into our sprinkler system. AC guy came and ran the flex duct and installed the new ceiling register. Tile guy made some more progress on the bathroom floor.

Finished Phase 1 of "Operation Rat F$#k" - the deck has hardware cloth around it. Phase 2 has me up on the roof above the side porch buttoning up some questionable spots in the eaves. Little bastards...

Finished the kids playset that I started last week or so with a lil canopy for the top and put some blue dye in the pond. Only had to put dye mostly on the west side of pond since wind was blowing hard enough early today to push it across it. I forget how easily it stains clothes and skin until a drop gets on you haha20210317_172731.jpg 20210317_192721.jpg 20210317_192926.jpg

I thought the same at first. Lol. But I do it for 3 reasons. Helps keep algae down, helps tint the water making it more difficult for birds to pluck fish out of the pond, and aesthetics. I don't have any trees yet, so there isnt any shade or anything to hide from birds swooping in and snatching them, I've seen them do it.

Gonna have a long drive I assume as pretty much no one here lives near me. But the fish are small. I need to stock some more bass in it cuz there's basically just perch right now. Always got food and beer at the house. Living in the country a lil makes you buy more in bulk and stock freezers and outside beer fridges

I accomplished no visible wires in a few ways. First off I had to tear down all the Sheetrock anyway so I had good access behind the wall. I ran power and put in a dedicated outlet behind the tv. I bought a 6 plug outlet adapter to plug everything in. I did the TV, Apple TV and sound bar. I don’t have any form of cable so that was 1 less wire to worry about. I rolled up all the power wires and my HDMI and just zip tied them to my tv mount out of sight. I used one of these to mount the Apple TV to the TV itself. It works great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017S25FMA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VK2D4NGXQYD1N6CJPRQS

For the sound bar, I drilled a hole behind it and another up near my outlet. I ran the power and audio cable up behind the wall and out behind the TV.

I did the same thing myself a year ago....we love it. My wife thought I was nuts - she's a great decorator but has trouble visualizing functional stuff. I told her to trust me; then simply bought one of these PowerBridge deals, and used my knowledge and a self-find....er, stud-finder ( :D ) to 'install' one behind the entertainment center and one in the middle of the bracket securing the TV to the wall. It worked out great and looks so much more professional. :)

How do you like that fridge? We are thinking about getting rid of our L/R split style for the french door style Family Hub.
I like the idea of having that smaller middle drawer for produce.

I’m not the biggest fan because This is the third one we have had in our house because of issues. This one seems to work fine. We are an iOS house so the integration isn’t that good and we setup a SmartThings hub in our house just to talk to a few devices. We now have hue Insteon and SmartThings plus 4 alexia’s and a portal so it’s a dumpster fire of tech. If I was more motivated I would buy and program a cross platform hub to control everything.

What issues did you have? I know Samsung doesn't have the best reputation now with appliances....
The wifes phone is a samsung, i'm on a Pixel, so i figured that at least her phone will work well. We also have a fairly new tv that looks like its compatible with the screen mirroring. That really looks like a cool feature.

Actually the tech in the fridge is the coolest thing as a working refrigerator it has been sub par. The first one made crazy noises the second one did not cool or freeze but the third one seems like it is doing ok. It seems all appliances are junk nowadays so I would just recommend buying it from a good dealer. We bought ours from Costco and they are great.

I was just looking at it through costco. Seems like the best price, plus for $160 you can extend the warranty 3 years, not sure if you can stack the costco visa card extended warranty of 4 years making it 7 total. That wouldn't be too bad.

I always thought that it would be awesome to be able to see inside your fridge when you are at the store and cant remember if you have something.

Mind if I ask why you wanted to separate and put a wall up? I assume just to keep the spaces defined and keep from one bleeding into the other....and/or storage shelves capabilities?

    1) it’s going to support a small mezzanine level to cover an office and provide more storage space.
    2) making knives and stuff in the shop generates lbs of metal dust and sawdust every month. Hard to keep the tundra clean!CF550301-4BBB-4FAA-8744-05983F09799C.jpg0B5FDC49-3319-4DE1-A045-74D5557A8486.jpg

Noice! I ask cuz I'll be building a 30x50 shop with a lean to in the next couple years. Truck is parked in garage, but just getting ideas in case there's something I may not have thought of

Keep the dirty stuff and the clean stuff separate. If you do metal and wood, not a bad idea to separate them as well. Arcs/sparks/hot slag does some nasty stuff when you’ve got sawdust or finishing chemicals laying around
