Okay, I need some clarification for those of you who upgraded your shackles.

    1) Can you upgrade shackles on your stock suspension? or advised not to until you get upgraded front suspension?

    2) Do the rear suspension add any additional lift, or is that the job of upgraded blocks or shackles?

Yes, you can upgrade shackles with stock rear leafs and shocks as there are different lengths of shackle available. However, in all cases you will be increasing the rear height. Depending on the weight you carry in the bed that may or may not be an issue.

Depending on the length of the shackles, you will get different levels of rear end lift.

That would primarily just add more "rake" if you don't upgrade the front suspension (by means of still running stock suspension on all corners). I can see it being beneficial for towing purposes.

The articulation will be better as well. The OEM bushings are splined.

Yes. If you have stock front suspension and increase the shackle length in the rear it will create more rake.
