Been crawling around here for a few months now in attempt to decide what I want in a lift, but am still not 100%.

I found this truck online, and is pretty much what I want to go towards:
    D90DE99F-802A-47B2-BBD3-596A59167E60.jpg 32917A83-F573-4899-A31D-AE1534B8DDD6.jpg 2795799B-D293-4CC1-96C3-9BD9EC5410DD.jpg
That truck has a 3” Ready Lift on Method NV 18x9 wheels (+25) wrapped in Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/75/18s. Issue being they state it rubs some at full lock.

    Questions I have:
-Anyone have experience with this configuration?
-Will the 6112/5100 setup provide any additional lift over the 3in Ready Lift or will it be the same?
-Is there a tire size one size smaller but same ratio as the 285/75 that would eliminate rubbing?

if anyone has experience with this or a similar setup, I would love some details and photos! Thank you.

    UPDATE:
Think I have narrowed it down to:
-Bilstein 6112 front @2.5" w/ CB shim on each side
    -Bilstein 5100 rear w/ 1.5" shackle
    -Method NV 18x9 wheels
    -285/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers

4.88 Nitro Gears. King coil overs and rears with remote resi and a pedal commander throttle control. AFE cold air intake. RSI Smartcap and GFC supernate 50.
Offset makes a huge difference. Its probably rubbing on the skid plate/front sway bar, probably not at the body mount. A bora wheel spacer or a wheel with 0 offset probably solves this. Look up the @Coachbuilder1 ted pro upgrade kit too. It pushes the bumper out 1/2" and creates more space in the front of the fender.

I have installed ReadyLift Leveling kit 3.0 front 1 rear. I also installed Spidertrax WS 1.25 in. I posted some pics and detailed install videos on my build thread link below. It doesn't have all answer you are looking for but a least can give you an idea on the lift kit DIY install. I have no issues so far with the lift kit. The only issue is that I want to see it higher now. :)

Think I have narrowed it down to:
-Bilstein 6112 front @2.5" w/ CB shim on each side
    -Bilstein 5100 rear w/ 1.5" shackle
    -Method NV 18x9 wheels
But the question is if 285/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers would be the best fit here? To remove chances of rub and no bumper mounting kit this seems like the same tire ratio as the pictured 285/75/18, just 1 inch shorter.

You can run 285/75 on the stock 18s with no spacers and no rubbing with some 5100s up front on the middle setting.

Thanks man! Unfortunately I have the 2017 20in gray highlight Platinum (not even the 2018+ black highlight) wheels, so to move over to TRD wheels, it is about the same cost as aftermarket.

Bumper shims, you have a few options to choose from.

I have Toytec 1/2" bumper shims and 20x10 with -24 wheels with no rub anymore on full lock with these shims.

lots of people sell them as take offs. I saw a set locally sell for $250 with tires. At that point it’s a matter of a tire change.

Humm, never heard of Dobinson. Can you elaborate on "don't be a dummy and try to get a 3"+ lift"?

Many here LOVE that combo of lift/level. shocks/shackles.

    I'm sure you'll be fine.

Coming from a Tacoma, we had the Taco lean, and driver side needed a shim to level out. I see some Tundra guys do this as well, but some don't. Is it required/recommended? Is it just per truck?

Just my two cents. I had 6112s on a 2017 tundra I had that got totaled. I’m now waiting on my 2021 to be delivered and I will not be going with 6112s with the new truck. They are well made but they are a rough ride no doubt.

So the Dobinsons are supposed to be a much smoother ride? Is that what you’ll go with?

    I’m looking mostly at fox.

Maybe I’m petty, but I despise that ugly yellow on the dobinson stuff lol.

Hahaha oh I feel you on that. I just have a hard time justifying paying that much for suspension when the off-roading I do is relatively mundane. It gets a little western on the way up to elk camp, but other than that I’m on relatively well maintained dirt roads or pavement.

Same for me. I’m honestly leaning towards fox 2.0, they seem like they’ll be enough for me. And still stay under $1000.

I Had a Bilstein setup on my 2001 Tacoma and had no issues with it. My 2016 Tacoma had OME. It was stiffer than stock but was fine. It is a truck.

Where are you finding Fox for 1000? And doesn't the Fox 2.0 coilover setup only do 2in?

2.0 are $900. They come at 2” but from what I’ve read you can get 2.5” which is all I’m wanting.

Are the UCAs a requirement or a recommendation for this lift (2.5-3in)? I see some guys do fine without, and some go with.

Last truck had 6112s on top setting and my truck alignment was great without ucas. 3”+ I would definitely get ucas
