    Hey,
Anyone have any pictures of their Plasti Dipped color matched front bumper ends?

Completed the front chrome delete of my 2017 Tundra TRD Off-Road today with 1 can of Anthracite Grey Hyper Dip and 2 coats of Glossifier.

I tried doing it with white, didn't turn out how I wanted so I had them painted instead. Yours came out well though.

From the picture it looks like it matches the rest of the bumper perfect. Did you take ends off to do? Or leave on the truck? Looks awesome.

Thanks. I am happy with it. So far it has held up well. I took them off. I did the grille surround, hood bulge and bumper at the same time. Having the grille surround off made getting the bumper off easy.

    PlastiDip anthracite plus glossifier.

Its been a couple years and I’ve only had to do a couple of touch ups.

This summer I need to remove and reapply or go a different route. I do have pics though.

I'm at the same point with my PlastiDipped caps. Might scuff them up real nice and then prime and paint. I've heard of some people having good luck going that route. Also looking at using MonstaLiner since they offer a color that's really close to MGM. I'd look into new bumpers but I'm kinda tapped out on throwing another $1000 at my truck every time I change something...

Man, that looks great! I'd have never guessed it was plastidipped.
I wonder if they have a color to match Silver Sky Metallic?

    Ok... after-report.

It’s been about 3 years, I believe, since I layered PlastiDip and Glossifier over my chrome bumper ends.

I touched up nicks and gashes twice. They have been looking faded and a bit ‘tatty’, and today I noticed where the dip had broken through in several places. Also, they were scratched and no longer took any shine.
    D3B982DB-D3B3-45BA-909C-8CAB8864AE69.jpg

I decided to peel it off. Cake, right? No.

I couldn’t get any of the rubberized coating to peel off. Instead, it barely rolled under my fingers, and just broke off in tiny shreds. This approach would take days. I sprayed it down with a citrus based stainless polish and tried scraping it off. A half hour later...
    569FEE9A-C637-49D5-BA5A-C118AA43A951.jpg

What a pain. I decided to try the pressure washer. I soaked both sides with the citrus stuff and blasted away. In about 25 minutes I was basically done.

Now I have to decide: do I stick with chrome, or go all in on color matched? What do you guys think?

Since it lasted 3 years I would plastidip it again. Looked much better and now you know the power washer makes it much easier to get off.

Damn, 3 years? I did mine recently without using glossifier since it looked pretty nice without. Though, I may be getting a new high clearance bumper later in the future so I most likely won’t do anything with it again.

It’s PlastiDip Anthracite and their clear Glossifier.

IIRC, I put on about 6 coats of color and 4 coats of gloss.

It really is a decent match for MGM. Get 2 cans of each. Mask as you would for paint.
