I’ll probably miss the 4runner but I think I will like the truck more. I know the wife is not wanting the 4runner because I’m working on a new 2021 Acura RDX for her. She said it’s to beefy for her. Lol.

 

I’m not a big guy, and am fairly light on my feet still. For me, I never really used it before and don’t miss it. I always put my left foot on the step then right foot into the truck getting in, and reverse it getting out.

 

What did you end up doing here. I now notice my driver side does and it’s driving me nuts.

 

I ended up with zip ties when I installed the Diode dynamics fogs and re-used the stock brackets. Something like this video. However I used two zip ties for each light and tightened them slowly while in front of a wall so I could keep them looking level and not tweaked to one side or up/down.

Toyota fixed it for free. I think they put some dampening material between the light and bumper

 

I added it to mine. I guess it’s more of a comfort thing since my last truck had it I’m just more comfortable using it and didn’t like grabbing on my steering wheel when getting in. I’m 6’4” but still use it and the steps

 

I think any delays are regional, short supply so they are backing off "extra" allocations maybe? I'm in the Northwest region (Montana) and had a build scheduled for 3/5 and heard a guy from CA got delayed from 3/3 to 3/30. Contacted my sales guy and he was still seeing 3/5. It got built last Friday! I've got the VIN for my LR CM and should be taking delivery March 31st. So don't lose hope unless you've been told for certain that you're delayed!

 

Yeah I have my Vin and spec sheet. Still on schedule.

 

That’s me. Had it in my Titan and got used to using it entering my vehicle. Now I feel weird getting in the Tundra and almost grab steering wheel each time.

 

Got the bed step and drivers grab handle installed today.

 

Saw a Lunar Rock T4R today in Joshua Tree NP (didn’t get a picture), and also a couple of Rav 4’s.

 

I too saw a LR 4Runner around here today. If it’s local that makes - 4Runner and Sequoia in LR local with my tundra.

 

I have not seen a LunaRock tundra in my area yet. Have not seen a AG 4runner pro either. I had a friend tell me they seen a AG 4runner in my area. I will probably see a LunaRock tundra pro when I’m driving mine home. Lol. That’s when it comes in.

 

Still haven’t seen another Tundra. I know there’s several in Seattle area, but didn’t see any when I was recently up there. Haven’t seen any down here in Palm Springs/Coachella Valley/Joshua Tree either. I have seen several Tacos, 4Rs, and Sequoias now tho

 

You're in CA now?

Only other one I've seen other than mine, was a 4R parked in the back of a dealership when I went to pick up some parts. I have yet to see any lunar rock on the road in Portland, SoCal or anywhere in between.

Well, almost 6 months with my lunar rock DC and I'm still in love. I've kept her mostly stock because I'm pretty pleased with what I've got. 8k miles, 4 car washes, 1 busted windshield, and countless rock chips. (@RainMan_PNW I'm right there with ya, my truck will be dirty, so having a color that hides it well is great!) Lots and lots of rough dirt roads, gnarly winter driving conditions, and camping trips with the mutt. Dirt inside and out, and it's never stressed me out once or left me stuck. Still an absolute joy to drive every single day.

So far my small town of <10k has a LR Tacoma, two 4Runners, and I've caught sight of a crewmax. But never another DC unicorn.

I still feel so lucky that a fellow forum member alerted me to her sitting unclaimed down the road from me last fall.

 

That last pic - I’ve always wanted to get into splitboarding. Think that might be my 21-22 winter sport.

 

Y'all have a pretty great spring/ summer volcano season up there. Hell I've splitboarded on hood in September. I'm envious of your peaks, like a toddler drew them.

 

True. Might be a good way to “learn” - do a trip up Mt. St. Helens. I’m so out of shape... that’s why I was thinking this winter. I’m buying a pack and starting to train for backpacking when I get back from vacation

 

Yeah, you gotta like/tolerate walking up mountains first

 

I very much like that. Grew up cross country skiing, started snowboarding in 1987, but was out of the sport for about 15 years until two winters ago. Splitboards had JUST come out when I moved out to WA and my wife wasn’t really into snow sports. She’s still not, but my kids are.

Weird. Says listed 22 weeks? Seems like....not right? I actually was at this dealership this past week as I was in Birmingham for work to get a price on some parts that I ended up buying locally in Nashville and I did not see that truck sitting around. Could have been there tho.

 

yep...seems to be about $4K high...same specs as the one i am waiting on...
