    - From what I see, 15 and 25 are mounted just like the instructions. For post (pic) 21, I can only assume it's mounted different on the axle because of air bags or lift. It looks like it'll still function fine as a sway bar to me however......

I ordered a rear sway bar this morning. Hopefully shipping won't take too long.

I hear you there. Mines been sitting in my garage since December. Between the weather and all the OT, haven't had a chance to install it yet. One of these days I'll get a chance to install it. Although, it did come in handy not having it installed a few days ago. Brought an end link in to the powder coat shop to match up what color to powder coat my tow hooks.

WOW. Truck feels like it's on rails. What a difference! I think Toyota leaves it off most of our trucks so when you put it on you can really feel the difference. Easy enough install but torque wrench is a must have. I was leaning on it hard to get that 84 and 48 and there would be noooo way you could feel like what it should be. If you're on the fence about it just do it. You'll thank yourself later.

Ok so just took a more purposeful drive looking for some curves....I’m telling you I don’t even recognize the truck. I took some decent long radius curves at around 55 mph and the truck stayed flat to the road and i feel like the upgraded suspension that I have installed is finally maximized. If you don’t off-road I highly recommend you get both front and rear sway bars!

I have the factory hitch and the instructions say that no washer is needed between the spacer and the hitch on the upper link. I installed it that way at first, but the notch in the hitch plate allowed a rather uneven and not fully covered notch, so I threw a washer in. What do you think???????????

I followed the instructions and all fit as expected. I don’t think the exposed notch is an issue:

Think the added washer will be an issue, I mean its what 1/16th of an inch thick?

I doubt it. Will just push the link rods out from frame a bit more than designed. I like the RSB. Worse thing it bottoms out on my leaf springs near full articulation. But I am running 1.5” shackles. Hence as many here comment that they are not the best when off roading.

I ordered the Hellwig rear from Autoanything and was so damn excited for it to be delivered in a week. Even got 15% off and free shipping. A day or two before the shipping window, I received an email that added AT LEAST two months due to manufacturing issues. I’m now on the fence between waiting for it and just ordering the TRD one. I have a black truck and not that interested in all the extra red showing.

Does anyone have opinions on Hellwig vs TRD? I have a 17 Platinum. I occasionally off-road but doubt anyone would call it “serious”. I don’t crawl over rocks.

Are the TRD ones in stock somewhere or would you have to wait for one of them anyway?

Either are going to be fine. Unless you are looking for greater than stock suspension travel a rear sway bar is a “must have” on these trucks...other than the SuperCharger, a rear sway is probably next in line in terms of how much of a difference it makes.

Unsure, but it seems on here they arrive quickly. And I’ve occasionally come across some on Craigslist. I just know the Hellwig looks great and is supposed to perform better. But would I know? Is it worth the cost? Honestly I’ll prob go TRD cuz I likely wouldn’t know the difference.

Also, McGeorge has 2 websites. You have to order from their online site.

Man I am really starting to dislike this forum...I just purchased a TRD sway bar for McGeorge for the above price of $218. I promised my wife I would not do suspension or anything crazy but yet I keep buying little things (TRD wheel caps/RCI skid plate/Diode fog lights). Death by a 1000 cuts...:spending:

HAHAHA and I sat and looked at mine a long time. It said auxiliary washer and that really threw me off. It didn't explain in the paper instructions about the hitch non-hitch. After I already torqued it down without a washer I sat there for a long time wondering if I should pull it and put the washer on...

The Hellwig is adjustable, the TRD is not. I just installed both front and rear on my ‘21 CM and love it! It’s subtle - but it’s there. When you drive it it seems like it slides through curves now, ass end planted, front flat and stable vs leans/side rolls through curves. Satisfied with mine. I would recommend doing both as they compliment each other and work together. Took 4 days to get to me from Toyota dealer in Baton Rouge, La. And yes I did the washer thing too, but then went and removed it. LOL

I followed the instructions originally and put it all together without. Then said the original bolt had a washer type head, so I took it apart and put the washer on. Read and asked all day yesterday and figured I better remove it ! :bananadead:

Awful small parts to weigh so much! :p...but I get your decision.
