What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Nothing too special here but considering last week when it was beautiful all week long I worked a 24hr/day 7day/week and had to stare at my truck covered in salt. Needless to say it needed it and I'm very happy to have it sitting pretty again.

But what wheels are those?

 

Every time I see this rig, I only think of one thing...

 

As you can see, I didn't even take the wheels off. Cleaned them really good. Used rubbing alcohol on the machined part just to make sure it didn't have any grease or oil. The paint was just a gloss black enamel from lowes. Very light, thin coats. Been over a year and no chips.

 

Now that is a great idea! I'm stealing this one when my topper arrives...

 

Upgrade decals

Removed brand decal from new Canopy.

 

I got my rear sway bar installed.

 

Got both the yotas cleaned. Does anyone have a brush they use to wash there vehicles with ?

 

Began stage 1 of the chrome delete with what I anticipated being the easier interior bits. I sure was wrong when it came to popping the vents out. I was going to paint them, but realized the scotch-brite on the chrome dulls the shine, will reduce the glare and never scratch.

 

Microfiber mitts and a small detailing brush for emblems and what not.

 

Installed some shims on top of the 6112s to help clear the new 295s, pulled the front sway bar, and threw some deer sausage on the lil Weber while I worked.

 

BAM nothing fun but satisfying

 

I just ordered this Diode Dynamics 42" kit in a combo beam pattern for the lower bumper lighting needs. Let it shine! Now I'll need to order a switch pro setup for it next.

Installed front footwell lights from VLEDS and my 3W auto window module. Module was a PITA to run the power wire, but it's done and I'm happy to have all 4 windows auto now.

 

A few days late, but spent a few hours at Apex Overland on Friday morning and this happened...

 

What're you doing with your old tank...is it a 38? New one must be 45?

 

Old tank was the 26, new is 46... Old tank is most likely in the dumpster of miscellaneous junk parts behind their shop

 

Just curious does the miles to empty register how many more miles to empty?
On the dash board when you fill up.

 

Snagged a ARE canopy today. Been looking for some time and think I got a good deal. $1400. Maybe fellas can tell me if I got a good deal. Has led lights a rack and some complete carpet kit to re install.

 

I changed my oem lights for led’s Very improved lighting

 

So the miles to empty at a full tank shows what it *should* have been at that fuel level and the stock tank. The gauge is accurate, however.

I'm down to just above 1/4 tank and I think the miles to empty are somewhat aligning... I'll figure that out on my second fill up I guess

 

Did the same thing those leds in the mirror our ridiculously bright.

 

Yeah almost too bright lol

 

What did you use for the footwells?

 

Yeah I put them in before I left for work and of course I was making sure they worked and I could hardly see on my way to work lol.

 

RCI skid plates installed.

 

I have the 26 gallon when I fill up it says 310 some odd miles so I would be interested if it said 600 miles. Awesome mod.
