What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

These are actually from a company called xkglow. They are extremely easy to install and very modular to fit any configuration. I got the complete interior/exterior kit as a gift last year and it comes with underglow lights and wheel lights. It's a little to flashy for me but what intrigued me is you can set the exterior lights to function as brake and turn signal lights so the rear glows red when you brake or the left and right glow yellow with the turn signals.

 

Thanks for the info. I doubt I would ever use the exterior lights but miss the level/options of interior lighting that I have on other vehicles.

 

The MX has more capability, like trans temperature.

Yesterday technically, but finished the second battery setup (yes I know I need to recover the heatshrink on the positive cables)

 

How’d you attach yours with? I’m debating the windshield or the vertical surface mount. I wanna put mine near the A pillar similar to yours

 

Arrived this afternoon about 2:30 and started installation about 3 o’clock and done by 6 o’clock. Will post some pictures in a standalone thread for those who are interested.

 

Attached with a old phone suction cup mount I had laying around. Ran the cord down the door black seal. Real simple. Just pull back a little with the fingers cord goes right in. No removal of any of the plastic. Been there close to 2 years. Got the idea when I had it in my Taco from TW.com.

 

Finally ran speaker wire to the door speakers, pre-wired the mirrors for signal and puddle lights, and installed the amps. Now I have to find out if I need to refresh the Meastro or not. Anyone know which wires to tap in to for the puddle lights?

Purchased some ditch lights from CaliRaisedLed today. Can’t wait to get it and install it!

 

@pvn.beluga Sure did. I got it from the dealer and it had some discoloration and scratches in it. Used some DupliColor Bed Armor. Worked pretty good

 

I have this kit. Decent for the price, plenty bright and easy plug-n-play install.
My driver's side housing did get some moisture inside. CaliRaised was quick to replace it under warranty. To be fair, it's been raining where I live non-stop since 1982, but something to watch for in the future.

Had to get the F-150 set because of my rail relocation setup.

 

Got my Diamondback HD cover in today and got it installed. Also finally got my four inch step rails sprayed with Raptor liner and installed. Rails match my DB cover. It was a good day today.

 

Planning on getting this kit also, did you guys get the OEM switch too?

 

Yeah, I got a Toyota style switch and mounted it in the card holder slot behind the shifter.
This pic shows a ditch light switch, but it now has a sasquatch lights switch.

Thanks, I got these used off of a 2016 Tundra. There were no markings or manufacturers stamped anywhere on the rails. I had these stripped down by my local powder coater and still didn't find any identifying marks on them. There were about 3 layers of paint on them,, lol.. I am assuming these were OEM rails added by Toyota.

 

Thanks man! Your DB turned out great too. I skipped the step on adding shims under the rail, hope it doesn't sag on me.

 

I like this idea. I've just moved from a 2016 Tacoma offroad to a 2021 Tundra pro, yesterday to be exact, and already want to move around some switches. The rear window switch is totally out of place and this is a great spot. Nice work and thanks for posting these mods. I've also got a diamond back on order and good to see it on a tundra.

 

I tapped into the little foot well light on the driver's side by the parking brake. They come on when I unlock the truck and fade off when I lock it. Works perfect.
