So I currently have a 2018 Platinum in super white with less than 10k miles and i just seen a tacoma in the new wind chill pearl color. After seeing that color makes me wanna get a 2021 Platinum in the wind chill pearl color. Are there any major differences between the years? The only difference I can think of at the moment is push to start ignition.

does the 2018 have LED lights, if not that worth the upgrade alone.

I think you will lose the transmission cooler but gain push button start.

I have a 1794 and was seriously considering moving up to a push button start. The only problem is with remote start and push button start. The moment you open the door. The truck shuts off. No way around it. That's double duty on the starter. Starters for our trucks aren't cheap. I'll hold onto my key for this fact.

That only applies to the remote start. I’ve had push button start on my Tacoma for 4 years and you can open the doors and the truck continues to run. You can even exit the vehicle and it continues to run, but it beeps a warning at you. From what I understand, it will not go into gear without the key being inside the cab of the truck but I never tried and can’t confirm.

I think he means if you start the truck remotely, either with the app or the key fob, and then open the door to enter the truck it will shut off. If you start it with the push button you can get in/out, open/close all the doors, walk away, whatever, and it will stay running.

I believe the HU has the updated entune version and you lose the fender antenna.

I have yet to take a picture in the sun though... yeah, it's nice.

Just to add: it appears the Wind Chill Tundra is going to be a rare breed given the first year out before the 2022 new gen, limited availability on models, rona, chip shortage, and other shut-downs in San Antonio... You get the point.

Shark fin antenna on the roof is another difference.
