Hi folks. I have a 2020 SR5 with entune capable hesdunit, but since it is Canadian specs, the software has not been updated

I would like to have the following capability
    Wireless android phone connection
    Navigation with download able maps
Always on rear camera in split screen
    Additional front camera

With the aftermarket hesdunit will I retain the steering wheel controls, and would the factory tpms get effected?

I have the maps button, but no maps.
I have a backup camera, but will need a always on when I install my topper
Connecting to the headunit via the USB hesdunit connector is fine, but the charging is super slow....like going back 5 years.

What would you recommend to achieve the above, it would be nice to run android apps on the hesdunit as well via Bluetooth, but not a must. I would need good sound output from the hesdunit to drive the factory speakers which to me are good enough.

Browse Crutchfield.com or sonicelectronix.com. I bought a Kenwood DDX9707S and an Idatalink Maestro that will do all of the above. A bunch of Alpine and Pioneer radios will work as well.

Thanks, I will have a look. I assume that the branded head units just work, whilst the android chinese ones are not so good to use.

First off it is nice to see some articulate exactly what they want in such detail

The Wireless Android @2020Platinum just posted a thread and YT video on an aftermarket solution for this.

    Don't know about maps

Someone created a harness for a Front/Rear Camera. It is not a split screen like you asked but it lets you switch in between front and rear. It may be FRAC or something like that.

The big android radios look very cool, but I don't think the overall reliability is there yet based on everything I've read.
