How do I get through this as of right now I am not able to proceed with preparing ecu

 

Had the same issue, just press help on vftuner and install driver

 

How does one calibrate file? Nothing I see in the folder.

 

If your file is available, it should be here on your computer: C:\Program Files (x86)\vF Tuner\Tundra 2019

FFV files may not be available yet...

 

Do I need internet to flash that file?

started this at 2pm and I still dont have any clue nor have the truck tuned..

You guys who are getting errors right now are trying to flash files that don't match your ECU ID.

Also, there is no reason to flash a stock tune if your truck is on stock tune.

 

Now I’m even more confused

so if I have id on the truck 0cl43 and I flash it with same 0cl43 nothing will change? I thought I’ll get better acceleration response shift points etc... thanks

 

At present, all the tunes listed in the software are stock tunes, and Mat is trying to get all of those out first. This gives you something to got back to if there's something in one of the modified Tune Pack files that isn't correct, or you just don't care for. I believe what you are waiting on are Tune Packs.

 

Yes that is exactly what I thought those files currently in the system are, because when I was purchasing it said tune packs $250 and vftuner w/cable $350. So I guess I just need to wait more. Thanks for reply and explanation! More wait

 

Send a zendesk message with this info if you bought a tune pack:

1. Your modifications
2. Your name or order number
3. Your ECU ID (yours is 0CL43)

that way we can send you the proper tunes.

How are you guys adjusting for different size tires? I only have one table under Drivetrain Control and that's Gear Size Differential. Not seeing tire size anywhere.

 

Same boat as you. Didnt see the option in my converted tune file. Emailed OVtune to add the tire size to my map, said the option would be there in the next vF software update.

I noticed we have access to air intake temp and coolant temp etc. in the log screen, but didn’t see transmission temp. Is there a option/access for transmission temp?

 

Not yet, as it's a PID through the TCU not ECU, like the tacoma. When our new logger releases it will have it
