Done. I'm the quintessential helicopter truck owner, hovering over the shop. I know, I know...leave them alone....but its BARNEY!!! Lol

FYI....if any Denverites are looking for a high quality shop for their FGT, I have got to say how happy (so far) I am with ATLR.
They know our trucks, and either know what we want, or have already done to their rigs those things we most often want.

I know this sounds like an ad, but it's been tough for me to find the right combo of economy and high quality service. So far, ATLR has impressed me.

Still, I am spending A-LOT on a 20 year old truck. I have high hopes that the money being spent is making an already capable truck, solid and reliable moving forward.

Had this rack setup on my Gen 1. Great for hauling a real load but I hated the look. My Gen 3 setup bolts through the shell. I placed the towers as close to the corners, where the roof is strongest. It has served me well and would do fine for an awning.

The THULE rack is no longer in production but I'm sure you can find something similar online. It is a bolt on system that I used aluminum flatbar backing plates, nylock nuts, stainless hardware and a little sealant to install. My load bars have an accessory track that would work well for attaching an awning. I know there are current load bars out there with similar tracks. I used one eye nut/lock washer on each corner to allow me to hang things inside my shell.

In this pic, she is parked at a slight angle giving the impression of a nose high posture. Reality is about 2" lift up front and 1.5-ish in the back.
Completely gone through now, including OME C/O up front, and Icon AAL + OME shocks out back.

    Runs and handles factory fresh.

    Nice work ATLR!

It cost a LOT, but results well worth it.

It's really eye opening. Now the truck feel much different. Taught, no nose dive, no Buick "wallow, " it's really very nice.

Yeah. Same results on mine after others rebuilt the front. Totally new truck after driving like boat from many years.
