I bet that place keeps you busy. A rooming house kept having problems with a toilet clogging up, running a toilet auger through it seemed to clear it up but it kept coming back. My bro just pulled the toilet and this is what he found.Dam thing was wedged deep in the toilet. A roll of solder makes a darn good hook to fish things out. Im never surprised what people will try and flush down toilets.image000001001.jpgimage000002001.jpg image000000002.jpg

Anyone who does plumbing for a living deserves to make 6 figures. That's hard, nasty work. Hard on the body too. Anytime I've worked on a sink I end up sore the next day from all the crazy positions I had to crawl into

We’ve had. Perfume bottle, and a energy drink can(separate occasions)

we had a repeat “customer” for a clogged toilet, like 5-6 times. Big cheeses got involved, phone calls were made. So we pulled the toilet, ran a snake, and put a brand new toilet in(only females using this FYI) STILL get a call for a clogged shitter, we basically told them someone needs to change their food or drug habit........

Yeah. I heard Opioids cause a hardened stool from a turd pusher I know. I never realized that was a situation until he mentioned it. He said ‘Oh yeah!’

I feel like a lot of our backups are drug related, or again diet related; the amount of Raman and other garbage I see in the rooms is sickening!
We had another building that kept having issues, even a auger wouldn’t brake up these oxy turds

I pulled this out of a dryer vent at someones house last week. It was level 11 in difficulty so the two prior ‘professionals’ called out didn’t want to do it out of laziness. Hobbitman was too lazy on a Friday to do it. The Hand Model gotter’ dun!

Alas, all my cassettes have died from old age. I love the 21st century. iPods, memory sticks, LED headlights, GPS navigation - if the truck ain't got it, I'll put it in. Gotta say, I've never had an MP3 player eat my cassette tape. And I don't have to swap tapes when I hit the end of a C120. (BTW, did you know that you can put the albums Endless Summer and Spirit of America together on a C120? Truth! That was my "drive down the shore" tape in my '67 Tempest.)

But then, in 1967 I discovered this COOL TV show called "Star Trek"... It's been amazing to see stuff from my science fiction books come to life. Water beds(Stranger in a Strange Land), cell phones (Space Cadet), MAC cards ("money access card" or something like that if you weren't around in the 1970's when the first came out! You couldn't pay your bills with them, but you COULD get money out of the bank when it was closed! First reference I ever saw to them was in Heinlein's classic The Door Into Summer), tablets, tiny little chips with tons of storage on them... I'm still waiting for my aircar, though. But I desperately want to smack whoever is programming voice response units to pretend like they're actually humans - a computer should SOUND like a fucking computer, like the Enterprise computer.

One other thing could be happening there. If you've got a lot of corrosion on the battery clamp, it might be preventing you from being able to jump the truck. Had that happen to mine - had to wriggle the clamps quite a bit to get a good solid connection through the corrosion on the clamps Toyota put on their cables. In THAT, I'd rather have the good old LEAD clamps. Just because something is old is NOT a reason to replace it - replace it with something better, which the battery clamps on my FGT and my Subaru manifestly are not.

    @FrenchToasty

I pushed some gnar gnar down the drain due to improper slope grade in the wall. Hooked her back up today. Thumbs up for Slip Joint Technique!

    Nice!
They used to call me the pitch bitch at work(no body did but I always hoped they did) I’d make the plumbers redo drains on walkins due to no slope, especially on freezers, you want that shit out as soon as possible!
Hopefully you flushed a bunch of hot water down once you were done. We us “power crystals” at work sometimes to help clean the walls of the pipe after these kind of cloggs; when it hits water it makes a crazy reaction that heats and like eats anything organic I think. I’ve sent like two down my bathroom sink; I need to stop being lazy and pull the P trap.

Yeah. I hooked up a SS Braided Hose and hot water jetted the arm all the way to the stack. Its a double basin vanity. Both arms had the sludge and it took about 15 minute per side to flush while also snaking it.

I did all the Tile Work, too. This job started from a shower pan liner failure.

No shit? Looks awesome for a hand model! Jk it looks awesome regardless!
A guy at work is dreading tiling a new shower he’s putting in down stairs for his elderly father. I don’t blame him.
Yeah any backup call we get, we try to make it flood after we’re done, if it floods; we didn’t get the clogg.

By the looks of it, you probably helped produce those videos. That does seriously look nice! I know it’s not you(maybe) but the non(or non labeled) gfci next to the sink bothers me.
Did you do it all or just the tile?(glass doors and the entire vanity?)

GFCI is inline with another bathroom. Shower Doors, vanity, and granite by others.

I did all the tile, plumbing, mud work, trim, demo, etc. The bath was a mess. Water leached into the kitchen, dining room, bedroom. I‘ll show some more pics later.
