Upper control arm NEEDED?

So i'm researching the need of upper control arms with a 3" front and 2" rear lift ... is it needed and if so what brand is best without breaking the bank?

 

Generally Two inch lift in the front is all the OEM UCA wants to handle.

@Darkness will be able to help more than I can. My lunch is almost over.

There are a few options. If you live in a salty area, or grimy in general consider SPC upper control arms.

If you dont care, or live in a Generally dry, salt free area you can go with a uniball like a camburg setup.

 

what is a safe lift with stock everything? I read 3inch front with 2inch rear was a safe OEM lift lol.. maybe not?

I live in washington state... so not salt roads... truck was born in NY hence the frame being replaced.. my luck =0)

 

The general consensus I found with the gurus here was 2 inches is livable for a short while in the front. Anything above that you will want an aftermarket arm with more adjustment.

That's a uniball. What year is your truck?

You're posting things for a 2ND/3RD gen, but your profile icon shows 2000 model truck which is first gen.

Those won't fit.

On my end of the internet it just shows "tundra" generation isn't specified.

I bought my lift kit from camburg so it came with camburg UCA. Saved a little money buying one of their packages, plus got 15% off on Black Friday.

If salt matters go with SPC. You don't really want uniballs if you drive on salted roads.
