I installed the IMS/778 coils today. Went for 20 minute test drive trying to hit every dip, railroad crossing and dirt road I could find. The ride was firm compared to my SR5 shocks but the IMS really soaked up the big bumps and I haven't been able to bottom the fronts out yet. I'm currently at about 2.75" of lift but I only eyeball aligned it until I'm sure the front has settled completely. When I first put the truck on the ground I was at about 4" of lift.

    Not enough....
Looks pretty good! I'm glad I switched out to the 778s. Maybe I'll order a shim or two to bump it up slightly and do any fine adjustments since I just ordered the old fashioned twin tubes.

@TundraLaw I just installed my IMS with 780 springs installed this weekend and have the same issues you have. Strange clunk turning at speed or with the wheel turned at full lock in reverse. Have you heard of any resolution from dobinsons?

@The Patriot 1776 I haven't had a chance to measure yet. Just looks super nose high seeing I installed an add a leaf in the rear. I'm thinking worse case scenario is lowering the clip down tot eh lowest setting. I'll also be installing a Victory 4x4 blitz bumper and winch with synthetic line so it will come down with a little weight on it I'm guessing.

What are you at on the 778s now? And did you set both to the 2nd clip?

That clunk is likely from axle bind as a result of the truck being lifted too much. The 780s are so so wrong. Clearly they didn't do any QC before selling them. It's funny how some on here were saying the 780s gave 3 inches of lift, when in fact we know now that they do not.

Dobinsons is trying to make it right though, albeit they continue to argue with me and accuse me of having spacers installed, and no diff drop... even though I have had a diff drop installed since 2019 and don't have any spacers installed on the 780s.

They're sending me 778s to see if it works. What they don't get is it costs me time and money to get all this changed out.. but that's life.

After driving all weekend I seem to be about the same lift as I first reported. I have the truck in the shop now getting an alignment so I'll update after that is complete and I make my 30 mile drive home. I have the drivers side at the factory settings and passenger on the bottom clip

Sounds good. So with driver 2nd clip and passenger bottom, you're getting about 2.75 on both sides?

I currently have the 780s set at 2nd clip driver and bottom clip passenger. Over a week later and still at 4.75 inches of lift.

Wow! This is scary! I've been waiting to install my kit, ill prolly just go lowest setting on both sides, I don't want any higher than 3" of lift! I'm on 37s with 0 offset, I wonder if I'll run now with less than 3"....

If you have 780s I can guarantee that you will get 4+ inches of lift even if both are set to the bottom clip.

I contacted @crikeymike from exitoffroad.com for an exchange. I'll have to go 778s. He said there a several members running 780s with no issues, sounds like a qc problem‍...

Anyone running C59-610 with front winch and bumper? Wondering how much sag I’m gonna get. They’re pretty stiff riding so I’m guessing not too much.

I'm exchanging for the 778! What setting would I set the clip now if I want 3 inches of lift?

Hard to say since we now know the 778s are getting 2.75 inches of lift with the 2nd clip Driver and bottom passenger-- Meaning that the 778s actually give about 3.25 inches of lift if you set both to the 2nd clip with a shim on the driver.

Wild how Dobinson's got all of these numbers wrong...

Therefore, I'm going to set both to the 2nd clip, and put a shim on the driver for 3.25.

If there is a member on this forum with 780s getting 3 inches of lift I'd be extremely surprised. On both Dobinson's threads there aren't any, and I've looked.

Well, I've been running 5100s on the top setting with. 25 shims, ill prolly go bottom in both sides and use my shims. I don't have the yota lean, assuming that's why you go with the staggered settings?

Ah got it. Yea, since I have the Dobinsons leaf springs too, which give me 2.5 inches of lift, I'm kinda stuck. I'm going 2nd on both and one shim. Just hoping for the best here.
