    Hey Guys,

Any idea why Toyota's stock tire pressure is only 30/33 for this truck. The 4th gen RAM 1500 I came from sat at 39/39. It just seems a little low. Where does everybody else sit at?

You should go by the pressure on the sticker on the door jamb if you have stock tires. To answer your question I have 45 psi in mine, but they’re not stock. They’re E rated Trail Grapplers.

I am going with door jamb pressures. Just surprised it's that low.

FWIW my door jamb sticker says 33 front, 35 rear. Why is it that low? Probably because they think that’s the best pressure for the stock tires in the majority of the possible conditions. Why is it lower than others? I don’t have a clue.

I bumped mine up to 32/35, rides great and slightly reduces having the low pressure light come on.

Does anyone know at what pressure the light comes on for high pressure on my stock tires?

I'd like to take my tire pressure to around 35psi all the way around with my stock tires.

No, but you'll be fine at 35.

You can reset the TPMS to think that whatever the pressure is at that time is the correct pressure. It’s easy to do.

    Mostly stock, for now
35-36 is what I run at. No reason to run any lower imo.

Im pretty sure your pressure light will only come on if your really low like in the high 20’s. I’ve had that light up on really cold mornings. You can run them as high as you’d like and the light only comes on if there is a big difference in one of the tires.

if you run a few more lbs they will wear much better and not feel so squishy. Stock pressure=the outside of the front tires rounding and wearing from turning much faster and they roll over in turns.

I do have to say that I’ve always thought the stock 30-33 seemed very low though too

I run 38 psi all around. Was not happy with the recommended pressure, but very "boaty". At 38 it rides like it should (at least in my opinion).
