Has anyone installed an SS Built front bumper? Is cutting required? Was it a major PITA? Thanks. Looking at the one with valance...

There's some cutting, I seen them when they installed mine. I'm glad I didn't do the install myself! I prolly would've jacked it up, lol

I'm not familiar with that bumper but I would think the installation instructions are online somewhere if not on their site.

Some cutting. Super easy to do with a second helping set of hands.

I can’t find a phone number. My Google fu sucks right now.

I ordered and paid in full for a front bumper 5 months ago. All via email and Facebook messenger. No phone. It hasn’t shipped yet,I assume that’s normal. They communicate with me, but not much due to them moving. Once I get it, hopefully they’ll help me out with where to cut.

I'm in the same boat as you on purchase time and waiting to hear that it's shipping. I've searched the web as well and there is zero information on this install. Interested in hearing an update on this!

I'll take some pics when I get home from work. If I remember correctly, it's two cuts to remove a support that isn't necessary and it will bolt right up. The worst part of the entire install was bolting the skid plate up. It's rigid with a 45 degree angle bend and wants to bend and torque with every screw you line up and drive down. After it's been on for about a year, it is MUCH easier to take off and put back on. But that initial install was a pain in the dick.

I cut my own bed fins finally a few weeks ago for the rear bumper. Cutting metal supports is one thing. You want a gut check? Try taking an air saw to your bed panel when you've never done body work in your life lol.

Haha! I feel you! I did this last year also when I got my rear SS built bumper in...... it would have looked too funny and out of place not to cut the rear bed.

    All stock-ish. Powdercoated blue suspension.
you gotta cut that support bar beneath your radiator where the two tow hooks bolts onto.

Yep... pretty much this is what you need to hack off that I circled. I was running their bumpers, but I switched it out and had that support bar fabbed and reinforced back.

Does the SS built rear bring down the trucks tow rating at all? I know some high clearance ones that offer hitches do. Mazulla Offroad has one for the chevy 1500 that looks really cool but you can only two 2k with it...yikes.

    Too many mods to come

I think it does but you can shoot him a message on Instagram to confirm. Usually the fabricated high clearance ones do limit it.

Likely does. Fwiw, I regularly tow a smaller 6x10 single axle V nose. Loaded its probably ~4klbs. No issues ever with it and the SS Built rear bumper.
