Hey all, I'm seriously considering the Aries bull bar for my Tundra. But I've heard that some automatic car washes don't allow vehicles with bull bars. What's been your experience?

It is best to check with your local car wash. Everywhere will be different.

For me....I don't go anywhere near car washes with my vehicle. Personal Wand Wash only.

Keep in mind, most cheap bull-bars, will do more damage to your car than protect it in an accident or even a minor fender bender.

If the car wash is the kind with the spinning pom poms, I could see that being an issue with larger bull bars.

I recommend touchless if you must use an automated service; hand wash is always best.

No auto car washes for me. But you will be fine with a touchless wash- hard spray only, no brushes, wash curtains, etc.

Oh, I had not heard this. The Aries bull bar I'm looking at is here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019O6VRPM/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
It's not cheap - $526; definitely more expensive than than the $200-ish bars. So I'm hoping that this one won't cause extra damage. What do you think?

They are nice for looks or to have a place to mount lights, but most only attach at the bottom- tow hooks, so they really do not offer protection from any kind if impact.
Protection from bumps, parking scrapes sure, but a real impact will just make them fold back into the truck. Some call the bull bars "damage multipliers" because of them folding back into the truck during an impact and causing more damage than the fender bender would have.
