Honestly it's better than our 13 year old mutt...easy clean up most of the time because it's undercoat and bunches together

So I'll throw a question out there for us dog owners: What's the best or most useful command you've taught your dog?

    Successfully?

After teaching him "speak", tried to teach him "quiet". He doesn't really get that one.
Tried to teach him to sit still in front of the couch and do "footstool". He doesn't like that much.
My brother in law tried to teach him to jump up on his back but he doesn't get that.
Also tried to teach him "settle" but usually he just takes that to mean we want him to lay down before continuing to go crazy.

The stuff he knows isn't that "useful", just sit, shake a paw, lie down, play dead, roll over, through the hoop (make a loop with your arms and he'll just through it), that kind of stuff.

Heel would be the most useful one if he would actually obey on a walk. Probably the most useful one he knows on a walk is "around", which I use when he invariably tangles his leash around me or a street sign or something.

Stay. Used multifunctionally. Stay as in don't move and they won't until called. But I've instilled into them that when I say it they stop were they are. Come in handy a few times when they aren't paying attention to traffic/farm animals/trying to run after objects ect. and I needed them to stop and not move.

"In the truck!" and "Go Home!" are by far the most useful I have found. They love to ride so they always race to the truck when I say that, no matter where we are. And they ALWAYS get a treat when they walk in the door after I say "Go Home!" so they love that one as well.

Leave it and come here are the two most important so far. Also the hardest for a pup that is nearly 6mo old.
