Light connection for trailer

Brake and turn light on right sight of trailer don’t work thru the 7pin connection

    That is pin 6 in the diagram above. Note the notch for orientation. Put a digital multimeter on pins 1 and 6 and have someone press the brake while you check for voltage. If you get voltage, the problem is with your trailer harness and not the truck.

    Repeat the digital meter test at the harness connector where Pin 6 connects. You may have a bad connection inside the receptacle.

    If you have nothing at the harness connector either, then your next stop is going to be at the flasher relay. The brake (stop) signal goes into flasher relay on one terminal, comes out as trailer turn/stop on two other terminals (right and left).
