    Hey guys,
My Dads 2006 DC is having TPMS problems.
He has replaced all 5 of the senders. Every time, drive 100 miles,
Light comes back on. Reset, repeat. It always comes. Discount tire is where he is getting
the work done. Any thoughts on what to check now?

Had the same issue, guy at tire shop said the tpms system in the 2006 DC has many issues. So I just cut the wire and the light is gone.

I agree. Tire shop can use a portable scanner to check the sensors to see if they are functioning properly. Then check to see that they are programmed into the vehicle correctly. Something happens over the 100 miles that causes them to throw an error code.

I just went through this as well. 2006 has sensor in spare tire plus the other four. The reset procedure is apparently different from usual as well. The shop had to get specific instructions from the maker of their unit, but they were eventually successful.

Had issues on my 06 and discount couldn’t fix it after forcing me to buy the sensors. Never again. I cut and ground the pink wire behind the glovebox....no more TPMS light.....ever :)

    Remove T-PMS.
    Cover dash warning light.
Buy a nice air pressure gauge.

That’s what the previous owner of my 2005 said. “Can’t be fixed”

    I got it working, perfectly.

On first generation tundras the TPMS memory can only hold one set of sensors

if your tire shop can’t get it fixed then the only recourse is for the dealer software to reprogram the computer
