Hey guys, does anyone have a copy of the repair manual on the suspension area of the 2003 tundra? I was planning on doing the entire front end with a mevotech kit from rock auto, along with sway bar links and shocks & struts. Just looking for the torque specs and a guide to help me get through it and where to start first when I tear it apart.

And tips and advice would also very helpful, I’m a first timer messing with the suspension

Here's some torque specs here on the forum.

Here is a link to the field service manual. May have torque specs on it for those items, but it's a good tool to have regardless.

I was a first timer too. Still am sorta. :D

    Front suspension below.
I ordered coilovers from 1stgenoffroad, and paid them to assemble them. They shipped them to me assembled. It saved me time, headache, and potential danger if you don't know what you're doing with spring compressors. :)

Are you planning on a lift, or keeping things the same height?

Lower ball joints must be Toyota OEM. I think they hover around $85 per unit?

Others have used aftermarket cam sleeves, and cam plates with success. I opted to use OEM.

@empty_lord reccomended Napa lower control arms to me which saved me some coin from OEM. Not sure on the pricing of mevotech LCA.

As I think of more I'll edit this post, or make a new post. Brain still needs more coffee.

Stay away from Mevotech!, their LCA bushings go bad in less than 50k miles. Mine lasted 2 years before they split and I don’t drive my vehicle hard at all. Go with Moog instead.

Or does the kit not include the lower control arms? BTW if you can get some from Napa, go for it. At least you wouldn’t have to pay shipping to Rock Auto if you need to return under warranty.

A Hayne's or Chilton's manual will have all the specs, as will the FSM posted several places here on the forum in digital format. I like having the book in front of me and am proud of how greasy all the pages have gotten.
My experience with Mevotech was a poor one. I would spend the extra money on some Moog at least or find a good deal on Toyota OEM parts. My Mevotech tie rods lasted a whole 2 months. Then had tons of play develop in them. Both Upper ball joints started grinding, lubed again copiously and still occasionally felt some mild vibration in them when turning. Swapped em out for Moog and they've been great since. My $0.02

The front end kit came with both control arms and ball joints, I wish I did more research on my parts before buying all at once, I was impulsive in just trying to get all the parts here at once lol

Keeping same ride height, or going with a lift?

Most lifts with 2 inches or more will be "safer" with aftermarket Upper control arms (Uca). I caught a smokin deal on unused SPC brand UCA with new ball joints. I need to finalize my posts on my thread.

It's bed time here. Paging @Darkness to ironically shed more light on this than my tired brain can at the moment.
