this started happening after i replaced the oem battery again after 2 yrs. this didnt happen last time the battery was replaced.

anyone run into an issue where the tilt function of the mirrors only partially works on 1 side?

my drivers side mirror will just ever so slightly move then stop but the passenger side mirror will do the full movement to the correct setting in reverse.

i've re-adjusted the mirror for both memory settings 1/2 but and saved/overwrite the previous setting and still nothing (and yes i know the tilt function has only 1 save across both memory profiles, its the same for both memory numbers)

i can manually adjust the drivers mirror to the correct setting i want but when i put into reverse the drivers mirror will not move to the correct position like the passenger does.

is there a reset procedure to set the mirror back to factory default?

Try manually running each mirror full left until it stops, then full right until it stops. Then manually run the mirror full up until it stops, then full down until it stops. From there, follow the Owner Manual procedure to set up your memory positions. If that doesn't work...:notsure:.

While in reverse and the mirror switch is selected to a mirror (cannot be in the middle) adjust the mirrors the where you want them. Leave the switch selected to a mirror and put in park, then back into reverse. The mirrors should return to the position you set them to

Sorry I read JohnLakeman’s reply, my bad. Does disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU settings work?

After a little more research, I want to slightly revise the original post as follows:
Let us know if it works.

thats what started this whole mess, replacing the oem battery with a new interstate started the drivers mirror to lose its mind on reverse tilt setting. the passenger side moves to the correct position but no matter what i do to the drivers side, it moves 1 degree down and out and stops. but if i manually adjust it the mirror moves the full amount and set the memory function then put it into park/reverse the driver side goes back to not moving like the passenger side.

This worked doing this in park for both mirrors then going into reverse to set the positions for both mirrors.

    Thanks.
