I have a 2012 Limited Crewmax and my passenger side rear door lock actuator has failed. I called the local Toyota parts dept and they wanted $475 for it. Checking online, I’ve seen prices from $35 to $350. I’ve seen you can replace the motor only, but don’t want to go that route. Does anybody have the correct part number for it. I’d like to stay away from Dorman, but will use them as a last resort. Thanks in advance.

I know you said you didn't want to replace the motor only, but it really is a very simple procedure. I think I paid about $20 for 4 new motors (I've only had to do the driver's door so far) It probably took 10 minutes to replace the motor and really was not that hard at all. You just have to be careful prying the actuator apart.

I guess I could try it. Just have to find the part number. I’d like to get the part numbers for both to see the price difference

Just purchased a reman actuator using OEM parts off eBay with a lifetime warranty for $50. Looks like an hour job if I take time.

Do they require that you send your old actuator back to them? When I was looking at remanufactured actuators, they wanted you to ship your old ones back to them so they could fix them and sell them to others. $50 for a lifetime warranty isn't bad at all.

For those prices and a lifetime warranty, it is worth it. When I was looking for mine, I couldn't find any for the drivers door. I could find all the other doors, but for the driver's door, I would've had to buy a new on.

For what it’s worth, it’s only a Lifetime warranty as long as he’s in business. That being said, it’s nice to see someone stand behind their work.

I have bought 2 from the seller the Danny3737 posted above. They send you a prepaid USPS envelope to mail back your old actuator. When you mail your old one back that registers the warranty. I will buy from them again if I have another one go out.
