Hello, I am going to need new tires soon and Im looking for suggestions. Currently I have BFG KO2 275/60/20, and 5100 on top setting. The BFG's were good tires but they are starting to go bald on side and are making more noise. Im looking to go a bit bigger 33.5 - 34 tire. Any suggestions on a light AT tire in a bigger size? Part says to get KO2 again and part wants to try something new. Any suggestions on AT tires and size are appreciated, thx.

285/65/20 on stock wheels. K02 is 34.6" and will rub the spats if you don't pull them and skid plate if you don't bend it up slightly but they clear the RCI skids.

Installed Toyo AT3's in 275/70/18 in September. Love them. A slight howl above 60 mph, but thats what the radio is for. Have about 8K miles, and barely worn

I have had the KO2's on two trucks and I like them alot. However, I put the Toyo AT3's on my current rig and they are much better. They ride better than the BFG's and the snow traction makes you wonder how the KO2's have a three peak rating.

I have KO2’s on the Tundra and Toyo AT3’s on the GX but it’s comparing apples and oranges as the drivetrain of the GX is vastly superior. That said, I will most likely put AT3’s on the Tundra next time if the right size is available.

The KO2's have a more planted feel on dry pavement but in the PNW, winter and wet weather performance is key. One other thing, the AT3's don't hold onto rocks nearly as bad as the KO2's.

Thanks for the replies, I have heard that the new Toyo's are good but a bit of a hum. I was thinking of looking at the Cooper At3 or Yokohama Go15. I liked the BFG but I dont know why they started to wear so bad on the edges especially after getting lots of alignments.

    Have General Grabber ATX 3.

    Can’t grumble. Pleased with them

    On stock wheels

    275/65/18

IMO much better then the Michelin and the crappy Bridgestone that came on mine. Took those off after a week

I'm looking for tires as well, narrowed down to Toyo AT3's and Yokohama Geo. Any thoughts? Also looking to go slightly bigger without making any mods.

Hope the price of the new Toyo's is not that bad? They seem like good tires and they are lighter than BFG.

If you plan to stay with a 20" wheel I would hands down go with Cooper AT3 XLT's in 275/65r20 size. Comes out to a 34.21" X 11.1". A 285/60r20 would be a good option too. Those come in at 33.7" X 11.3".

Thanks GT87, I was looking at those. the only thing I dont like is they are only really available at Canadian Tire and they do shit work. If you could put a tire on wrong they will do it.

Dang that sucks. Maybe try and buy them online and then have an independent shop put them on?

I have these too in 275/60r20 . 20k miles on them so far and I just measured 13/32s on front and 12/32s on rear. I'm due for rotation so this is pretty even. I'm really happy with how they are wearing and how they perform both on and offroad

Just did the quick math and they are wearing exceptionaly well. 55k is the warranty and at 20k I'm only 20% through the tires based on 12/32s . Wear is more comparable to 11k miles at that warranty range.
