Picked up the newish oneup carbon handlebar with a 35mm rise and bar clamp. Looking forward to trying it. Supposed to have increased damping engineered in. I’m also getting older and riding steep trails so the high rise should be nice too! It wasn’t cheap but it was fairly priced relative to others. Cracked the 5yo SIXC bar running into a tree. It was a great bar but couldn’t trust it anymore.

Obligatory Tahoe mtb trips. Every weekend from when the snow melts until it comes back. Miss it already. 736F146D-FD5D-4933-83D0-321C44ED9FC1.jpg

This OneUp carbon handlebar has some nice details. The shaping is very F1 can’t wait to get some time to instal it and ride! Old broken bar pic first. 6CED9764-3817-40DB-8C29-2C217B458C34.jpg5FA7AB03-C954-4E95-8E4C-14608B172CA5.jpg

Haven’t introduced my new ride to the Tundra yet. But it was a fun way to start winter. Built her from the frame up.

Can’t wait for spring to show up so I can see how she rides. Came in 10lbs lighter than her predecessor.

Uhhhggg. I have GX on my Ripmo but my Wife/sons Ripmo I put X01. Man I cannot believe how much better it shifts. I was used to the old XT vs XTR and not feeling the performance vs cost. I'm sold now. Now I just need to wait for stock to get in and start upgrading the drivetrain for summer. Going to save the current one and trash it all winter.
I'd like to try the new Shimano offerings but our whole stable is Sram. Im a little bummed about micro spline.

Put the X01 shifter on your bike, that is where most of the difference in shifting is.

Brave one on skinny tires! Maybe those are wider than they look? 2.6?
I’ve only ridden in the snow a few times. I was hit as hell , except my toes. I did try one time on a carbine and had a blast. Does that seat pack hit your tire on dropped descents? +1 for flats.

Got a nice ride in yesterday almost 70 F! GX shifted perfectly amazing the difference a functional derailleur makes.

Got a nice ride in yesterday as well. Temp was in the 60’s. Crazy.

I thought about this and thought I’d pass it along.

    Product Review:
I’ve tried a lot of saddles and shorts these last two years. WTB, specialized, Ergon, POC, etc.
I finally find the Sqlab saddle and haven’t looked back for the last year. Just awesome for mountain biking. On a whim, a few months ago I purchased their pad-shorts and it’s the first time I haven’t suffered from saddle sore or ingrown hairs or needing butt butter for long rides. It’s a pretty thin pad short, breathes well, and fits great.
I’m gonna buy another set today.
    Pretty funny on the waistband.

Awesome @slowpokepete ! For that type of riding, do you prefer the drop bars or a straight bar?

Cool, thanks. I have a Kona Lava Dome that I usually ride, but have been thinking about getting a gravel bike instead of just a normal road bike. Our paths here that are just concrete are not very smooth and would think the little bit larger gravel setup would give more comfort.

This is the best forum page I have ever seen. Here’s our setup - rocky mounts backstage swing away, and two fork mounts inside the GFC. Really like having the option of keeping bikes inside for security and keeping dust off of them. Truck also has a Dobinson’s kit on the wayupload_2021-2-10_20-13-52.jpgupload_2021-2-10_20-17-15.jpgupload_2021-2-10_20-15-47.jpg

BAM! Thats a sweet setup! I really like the GFC options.
Swing away seems to be legit. Not a fan of my Northshore rack. But need a legit carrier for 4 bikes.
