    Hello Forum,

I'm expecting the delivery of a new magnetic gray metallic TRD Pro in February 2021

If I'm not mistaken, the TRD Pro comes standard with the hoop scoop

While I think the hood scoop is an attractive feature, my personal preference would be to find someone with a newish and scoop-less magnetic gray metallic Tundra hood with whom I could swap hoods

I live in the St. Louis, Missouri, area

Would a hood swap interest anyone on this forum? I haven't thought about the particulars of the cost of labor to swap hoods. Perhaps we'd split the cost of the labor? Any thoughts?

    Thank you,
    George

    Welcome from NY.

Do a search, there are a few members that wanted to do this.
No need to pay labor, the 2 of you can do the swap.

I'm in Huntsville, Alabama, I have an 18 Grey Limited with 17,000 miles on it. I'd gladly swap you hood for hood. It's about a 7ish hour drive. We can work it out somehow. BTW my hood is in perfect condition and my truck is always garaged.

I would be very interested in this trade. I have an MGM '17 with 45k on it. Hood looks to be basically flawless. I am in Texas, about 8 hours from you, but I don't mind traveling. I haven't really checked, but is that not something you and I could do with common tools and strong backs?

I'd be willing but that's far haha. Not sure I could get the time off to actually do it. But the hood is brand new with about 250ish miles on it

I have a 17 TRD PRO without the hood scoop, only issue is that it is cement grey, but I would be interested in swapping out with ya!

Why not take your truck to a body shop and have them remove the scoop, I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the scoop when I bought my sport (like it) so doing a little research, it appears the scoop is just double sided taped on.

Edit: I was wrong, that hood scoop is bolted on.

The "scoop" is one of the reasons I bought the PRO. Still hoping VaraRam or Airraid or some company will produce a true ram air system that makes the scoop functional.

To confirm, you DO HAVE the additional hood scoop on an MGM gray? Is it in mint condition?

hate to say it but they've been scooping toyota hoods for close to 15 years and that hasn't arrived yet. some interesting lightbar applications have been added into the scoop though.
