Test fit the wheel spacers on one front wheel. Looks like I’ll just need to reform the rear of the inner liner.

I bought a 10 Pack of Crush Washers with my Yzzd-3 10 pack. Still using the same washer 2 years later and have 9 I can donate.

You can usually reuse the crush washers.
Protip: loosen the fill plug first.
Smack both fill and drain plugs with a drift or a hammer to help loosen the threads.

Installed my retrofits from @SouthPaw. Love the the new lights like turning on the sun at night.
I went with the morimoto harness and bulbs. This was a fun little project with a great outcome. I believe I still need to dial in the driver's headlight some more but the weather has been a drag.

Ballasts are mounted with zip ties in the area above the headlight ( see red arrow in pic). The relay is the anodized orange thing in one of the pictures. That spot seemed a happy medium for reaching battery and having everything reach where it needed to.

Got the tint to make the corners blend in some installed..not sure I like it but until I find smoked or a set to try and open and paint the inside...these will do.

    Polished the hood some too!

Changed out the rear differential fluid in my '06 DC this morning. Picked-up 4 quarts of Señor Lucas 80/90 Gear oil & a 24mm impact socket from my local Mom & Pops parts joint. No problem getting the drain plug and filler plug off (both 24mm) w/ a breaker bar. The crush washers looked really bad super thin, and both had pretty nasty grooves in them. I jacked up the drivers side rear wheel and let it drain, while I took off in my other ride back to the parts store to pick up 2 new washers. Came back and cleaned both drain and filler plugs (minimal metal fuzzies on the magnetized drain plug). Tork'd the plug to 36 ft. lbs. and started filling. I got about 2 1/2 quarts in and put the filler plug back in semi-tight. Then pulled the truck out and drove around the block making multiple u-turns. Found an open lot, and did 3-4 figure 8 turns before returning home. Pulled the filler plug and kept filling till it started to come out the hole, gave it a quick little extra blast and put the filler plug back in. Torked to 36 lbs. and called it good. It took about 3 1/2 quarts . . . I may crack it open in a few days to double check the level . . . or not, seems like I put in the same amount I took out . . . or very close. Easy job, saved a few bucks doing it myself, and used what I feel is a good product in Lucas Oil.

I stopped at the gas station a few minutes ago to fill up and my gas door wouldn't unlock. Screwed with it a bit and gave up.

Came home and was able to pry it partially open with a screwdriver. Then eventually it unlocked. Very odd. I'll have to mess with it in the daylight.

My lock got seized and I had to break it to get fuel in my truck. Hence the broken fuel door. Which I have since replaced.

Excellent advice! When I was in high school I drained TC oil in my 87 hilux before opening fill plug and couldn't get the fill plug out. Was without a truck for a few days working on that bugger! I'll never make that mistake again.

Take it to a locksmith; they’ll take it apart and clean it up for $20. The first fix is to get a new key cut (if needed). Generally the rounding of the key edges only makes the condition worse getting it open.

Just ordered rear Bilstein 5100s, wheelers AAL kit and stainless brake lines. Heard Bilsteins are hard to come by right now so hoping they aren't back ordered too long. Although it's winter still so I got a month before I'll realistically get to it

At same time I'll be inspecting/adjusting my rear brakes. Front suspension and brakes have been done more recently.

Is it an actual lock with a key, or are you talking the gas door release? If it's a keyed lock spray some graphite lube made for locks in the key hole. That usually works wonders for lock issues.

Not uncommon for locks to freeze up in winter. Which it seems a lot of the country is experiencing for the first time. Haha.

It's an actual lock with the key that starts the truck. I think they gas doors stopped coming with a lock in 03 or around there.

I'll look up this graphite lube you speak of.

Try it. I have a bottle from forever ago, but I'm sure they still make it. Might look for lock deicer, has lube in it as well. Usually has a really small spray straw or nozzle so you can get it inside the cylinder.

I’ve found the graphite in the lock to just be a temporary solution. If your lock is gunked up like mine you may need to have a locksmith take a look at it.

If it's gunked up then I'd say you need to spray brake clean in first, then extra graphite lube second. Haha.

Yeah could be messed up beyond lube fix, but any mechanical lock that has ever given me problems is usually just needing cleaned and lubed. Or the key is worn out and needs replaced.

My neighbor spent his life as a locksmith and he even helped me rebuild my tailgate lock. He told me that the graphite lube is good, but it's messy and doesn't last very long. Ignoring the worn key, it's absolutely worth investing in a can of triflow spray lube and spraying a little in the locks twice a year. He absolutely saved me quite a few locksmith expenses.

If your lock is super gunked up, that triflow really helps. I'd recommend spraying some inside the keyway and then working the lock mechanism multiple times while wiping the key off each cycle/key insertion.

It's super dusty, sandy, and windy where I am, so I definitely have had the opportunity to see how effective that stuff is.

Spent quite a bit of time yesterday afternoon and this morning playing around with the adjustment on the rod and I think I've got it dialed in now. Drove even farther today and the brakes are not dragging anymore. I put the truck in neutral at speed and it rolled down hills fine. Going to do some interior cleaning now and maybe go for a trail run this afternoon.

Installed the Slyfox(from t4r.org and others I’m sure) AIP bypass today. It wasn’t to bad of a install, only took me a lil bit to find the ST relay that I needed to pull(pics didn’t match instructions perfectly)
Started her up and I didn’t hear any pumps screaming “HOOVER” so I think I should be good!

Those wire strippers are great! I've got a pair of old Klein ones from my grandfather that I use pretty frequently.

They are awesome! These are my personal pair; I need to get some for work for some of the small spaces we have to strip in.
I used it heavily when I was turning “project boxes” (Hammond boxes) into high powered battery packs for Ecigs
It had a variable voltage/variable wattage DC/DC converter with potentiometer switch to adjust volts. 120wmax output, I could do clouds for a day haha
