Finally finished the Tennessee Hayseed version of the TRD Pro knob. Fabricated knob from TN black walnut harvested off my farm ... a bit of bandsaw and sanding work, along w/ a few coats of black lacquer; fabrication time liberally lubricated w/ George Dickel #12. Added some military bling ... photo flash lightened the center console pin - that looks near-black when sitting in the truck. My photography skills suck but you get the general idea.

Plastic trim painted with SEM satin black. Gotta change that up - it needs either flat black or I think I saw someone else here used charcoal metallic that looked good.

Profile shot. I took an online photo of the TRD Pro knob, scaled it to my preferred size and printed it. Then used spray adhesive to place the profile on the block of wood. After that its just cutting and sanding.

If anyone else goes the DIY route, you have to get M8x1.25 coupler nuts. Use a drill press and a bit of the correct diameter so the coupling nut fits; then epoxy the coupling nut deep into the knob.
